Less than a year after his conversion, C.S. Lewis wrote The Pilgrim's Regress in only two weeks while visiting his friend Arthur Greeves in Ireland. Lewis's thick landscape of literary allusions, quotes, and philosophical criticism has long thwarted interested readers. In this week's episode, Drs. Crystal and David C. Downing sit down with Producer Aaron Hill to pull back the curtain on Lewis's allegorical apology of Christianity, reason, and romanticism.

You're not alone!! I've been reading this book for years it's one of the most delightful and strange mysteries of my life why I Love this book so much. I have to say I have gone through this book over 7 times. It's helped me so much with depression and despair. Mostly it's protected me from ideological traps and helped me say out of the rat race. I don't know how to classify this book it's so special, though I would not recommend it to just anyone.

He has a hell of a wife. Every time she speaks my mind is blown. I want to hear more from her.

A second for David Downing’s annotated edition - a very valuable resource.

It's ironic that this is probably the least known and least appreciated of Lewis's works, and yet it is probably my favorite. Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all 😊

This and "Til We Have Faces" I would have Jordan B. Petersen read.

Peterson appears to be on a similar trip as Lewis, it doesn’t seem that he’s made the jump from Idealist to Theist. I pray that the Lord will move his heart.

Good stuff but I'm disappointed you didn't get to Luxuria. That was the most memorable part of the story for me. Lewis was almost prophesying Internet porn addiction.
