Thank you for the videos! I need to do this myself, so its extremely helpful! I have a house built in 1984 with the same drain system, however my covers look different because its older. Can I remove all the covers and put them back on or do I need to buy new ones? Is there a company that still makes the style from the 1980's? I'm a bit desperate. I'm getting flooding now. Please advise🙏 thank you!
Those tiny channel drains have to be one of the worst inventions ever. They shouldn't even be legal to install these days. Or at least clean outs like what you made should be mandatory.
Why did you cut in 4 places and add the channel drain caps? What is a "jetter head"? Can you use a power washer? Where do you get a jetter head? Thank you.
The channel drain caps give our customers access to flush the channel drain with a standard garden hose in the future, that way they don't have to hire a company every time it clogs. The jetter head is connected to a powerwasher, it's a special tip that disrupts and pulls out the debris. Can be purchased on amazon!
@@TampaDrainDudes Thanks so much for the clarification. I see many jetter kits on amazon. Do you have any specific recommendation of a brand, etc? Also, the drain caps, I can only find an entire run of 40' or so on Amazon, do they just sell smaller caps somewhere? Thank you.
The bottom of most channel drains are round and will fit standard size pvc fittings. This case was a 1 1/2inch. Many pool companies sell custom fit adapters to fit the shape if you want a better visual appearance too.
