This video shows the foam backer rod inserted after the expensive sealant is mixed. THAT IS STUPID, very very stupid. You should have your backer rod inserted before you mix the sealant. Remember, after you spend nearly an eternity mixing the expensive sealant (ten minutes), you have less than an hour to use all of it. Hopefully, you are not working in hot sun during summer, where your working time would only be 30-45minutes.

Eduardo Preciado we always use the stick that comes with and mix for about 10 mins always works out fine I have done a few of my pools mastics and they hold up fine
The can opener system is stupid. I get that you want to keep it air tight, but very few conctractors carry a can opener with them. That will cause down time.
