Commander Deck tech for the new commander masters magic the gathering planes walker precon. The goal of the deck is to play a lot of token generators to block for our planes walkers so that we can get to their ultimate ability fast to win the game.

You think that create tokkens is a better way to protect our planeswalkers rather than paying mana (like Baird, steward of argive or archon of absolution) ? Because a 1/1 unblockable can delay our planeswalker ultim freely, and a big stompi one doesn't care about our 1/1.

I do because it at least deters the attack away. If a creature had trample anyway, the token is going to deter and paying 1 won’t do much anyway. For most creatures that don’t have evasion, wasting an attack when you know they will 100% use a token to block is a not really a ton of incentive to attack. I also think that a 1/1 can stop an attack entirely but everyone can just pay 1 mana

Yeah playgroup to playgroup will differ. I’m no stranger to Gruul stompy lmao so I get it. The deck lists I make I try to make as a good primer of generally what the deck wants to do and hopefully you guys add your own spice
