I had one of the most powerful readings I've ever done for myself this Samhain with the Antique Anatomy and Oracle of Oddities decks (I combine all three OOO editions together into a mega-oracle deck). I actually cried and kept the most symbolic cards from the reading on display for a month to remind me of their messages. They are definitely very deep decks! And you wouldn't think it from these sort of morbid-looking skeleton decks but they have a healing vibe. I love the Moonchild. In general, I don't have the same issues with photographic decks a lot of people do (I don't mind that I'm looking at real people with real stories, I actually quite like that) though I definitely have had some photo/collage decks I would have gotten if it weren't for the look of some of the specific people in them. I didn't have any of your issues with people in the Moonchild but I do with some of the people in the Starchild (which is why I've been tempted but decided not to get it several times). Some people just don't capture the energy of the card they're on for me. The Hierophant and Wheel of Fortune cards in that deck turn me off every time I watch a video of it or see a picture of it. One of the decks that's at the top of my list for next year is actually the reprinted Mountain Dream Tarot, which was the first photographic tarot deck (it originally came out in 1975). I've looked at all the cards online and not a single one gets it wrong for me even though the artist/photographer (Bea Nettles) literally just went around and got friends and family to pose like the descriptions from the Pictorial Key to the Tarot. I actually think it might pair well with your Rusted Lenormand :)
@@DawnMichelleTarot We'll have to see if I've enabled you. Not sure whether it will be your taste at all! But it's definitely fascinating from a historic viewpoint. And the photographer has gone on to have a successful fine arts career and has had her work exhibited in several museums!
I'm so late on this video but I had to tell you I just ordered Tarot of the Sidhe. I was trying so hard to think of an oracle to pair it with and you have me the perfect answer. I actually have that oracle. You are Brilliant Thank you for all you do. 💜
Agree with Textured Tarot comments. Love the deck, hate the cardstock. I tried to edge it, which just absorbed the ink (the cardboard edge) and swelled the card. I got another copy because I do love the readings I get, but annoyed with the cardstock.
I couldn't even use the deck at all. The cardstock is abhorrent. Who knew it would have such an effect?? Now I wonder if it was something cool like recycled paper...but I dunno. So disappointed. You must have freaked when the edging soaked in to the cards...what did you do with the destroyed deck?
I keep hoping for another edition with better cardstock... In the meantime, I just might print a copy on thinner cardstock myself. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
I loved seeing your fav pairings together with the journal. Your videos are sooo relaxing (to me at least) and I particularly enjoyed watching this after work 💕
Hi! Do you have a video about how you use your tarot and oracle decks together. I love seeing the decks you used together but would love even more to have more information on how you use them in your practice. Your videos are so amazing!!
Thank you so much! I don't have a video just on that process yet, but it is on my list for my How I Read Tarot series coming later this summer. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
I really enjoyed this look back over your year! And I would also just lie to take a moment to congratulate you on the rapid growth and success of your channel. So deserved! I am looking forward to what you have in store for us in 2020. 😊❤️
Thank you so much for sharing my White Sage Tarot. The Wands and the Swords are a common comment. I sat with this for awhile and I was interested to realize that raptors work with large sticks to build their nests. I have a house cat with some big cat qualities so she seems to "fly" through the air in a kind of silent stealthy sort of way! - I hope this helps :)
It does, thank you! I personally like that it makes me think of things in a different light. New perspectives are always wonderful! 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
I love watching your videos and hearing your commentary and love seeing the pairings and the synchronistic flips lol I just got The Spacious Tarot and took your advice and paired it with The Sacred Creators Oracle deck and OH. MY. GOODNESS. You said a person would know if the pairing worked and boy was it really something!! I posted some pics on For Love of Cards on FB. I tried to tag you but it wasn't letting me for some reason. I hope you can see some of the pairings. I should have zoomed in more but maybe on your phone you can zoom in lol It was really quite complementary and I loved the combo. Thanks for sharing that idea in each of your videos. It just suddenly clicked this morning while catching up on your video to do that! Sorry you were so sick at the beginning of the year. I hope you've got it all figured out now and are feeling stronger and healthier for the New Year!! :-)
I really enjoyed listening to you talk about the various decks! I'm new to tarot so almost all the decks were unfamiliar to me, so it was nice to see so many lovely ones. I had a question, what journal are you using? I've been looking to pick up a dotgrid and have been hemming and hawing about brands :)
So glad you enjoyed the video. I generally use either the Minimalism Art brand from Amazon or the Walmart Excel brand just for everyday journaling. However they have cream color paper so I'm currently on the hunt for a dot grid notebook for my 2020 bullet journal with crisp white paper. I hear the Archer and Olive journals are nice but I haven't gotten one of those yet. 🙂 I hope that helps!
