You're right. I think that's why Declan is doing the same. I just don't understand why people make such a big deal just because he's lipsinging. I enjoy watching him regardless.
They say there is a lipsyncing law but i really think is happening is that he wrote the song then hit puberty hard. causing him to change his style. Listento the song titled "you and me". This makes PERFECT sense.

Declan has a beautiful and great voice before..he could play a voice high notes and ability to control voice in low and high range....but today he can not might be .......
yeah its law..if he wants to keep performing in germany, then he has to lip sync. and most of his songs are highly popular in germany so he might as well follow thiei rules. i have heard what he REALLY sounds like tho, and hes just as amazing and i love him
umm? Yes it is he's voice, but in Germany they can't sing live, just lip synchroning ; ) It isn't something wrong with that, it is he's voice. It is they're law, not ours ; D Nice voice : )
No, it's not dumb to lip sync. Some times singers have to sync, i.e. when they have a voice problem like a sore throat and don't want to break an engagement, when there is no backup band, or when there the venue is not suitable for the full band and chorus. I don't mind...as it's still his voice!

Chrystina: It's not true. Some TV shows in Germany ask their performers to lip sync while other TV shows allow them to sing Live. That's a lie someone put out because just because Declan syncs some songs, the person accused him of syncing All of his songs. That must get Declan hot under the collar sometimes. I wonder. ( :
@AyAyAyNaru I don't think it's possible now since he's 19. His vocal range is completely different from the age he was when he recorded An Angel. It's a lot lower but still just as pleasant to listen to.
Yes, he's lip syncing in this video..if you listen to other recordings of An Angel, every little detail of the song does not change..and I'm not saying he's not that good, but no one is that perfect of a singer to sing all their concerts the same way
Boy alto. How old is this kid? I like his voice in the higher notes. His voice type is very rare. Most boys are soprani. Quite nice. Then again, I bet he can hit higher notes than that.
If it's a German law for singers to Lip sync..does Tokio Hotel lip sync their concerts in Germany? because I know they don't in other places..and why is it a LAW for them to? can't they break that one to give the fans something new besides what they hear on the cd's? that's the whole experience of seeing them in concert..to hear what they REALLY sound like
Well, I don't think even Lucciano Pavarotti would sound the same from one show to the other. Of course Declan wouldn't sound the same. As you can imagine, he recorder this song by the time of his transition of hie voice, so he will not sound the same
I cant find ONE fucking live preformance with him singing An Angel - well, not one when he isn´t lipsynicing. hate it. I wanna hear his real voice. Everybody knows boys voices changes, he dosn´t have to be embarrsesed, he sings great! So DO THIS SONG WITH OUT LIPSYNC PLEASE
its a law...but i are the people in Tokio Hotel over 18? cause if they are, then they don't have to lip sync, and since Declan won't turn 18 until next year, if I got his birthday right; then he has to lip sync until he turns 18...even then his voice is starting to crack, hopefully though it'll return back to how it was in this recording of "An Angel", although it does suit some of the other songs like "Ego you" ;)
I bet he'll have trouble making the transition between this sweet voice and his voice after puberty. >_> He may have to go out of the business. Think about it. Some childhood actors don't even make the transition. I hope Declan does.
