Dude Kite vs Shun probably would've been one of if not the best duel ever if it happened because I feel like Kite would actually have to try and wouldn't be able to just stomp Shun like he did with other duelists and Shun is just a complete badass that's hellbent on getting revenge (at least in the dub) and someone who just breaks out his XYZ monsters faster than Kaiba getting out his blue eyes like it's insane

@@jocoolshow yeah, that doesn't matter in a duel. Yuya knew fusion, xyz, and pendulum and still lost to Jack. Yuma by the end of Zexal was not only a master of both Xyz and Number Xyz but he also has 3 of the strongest cards in all of Yu-Gi-Oh as Utopia Beyond can make all cards Yuma controls unaffected by opponents card effects, with the addition that it a number and therefore cannot be destroyed by battle. He has mutiple cards to give attack and reducez damage to 0. He also has many negate battle cards and negate effect cards. Yuma overall has the better deck, especially considering he has ZWs for every occasion. Not to mention Yuma literally has powers where he can create cards, draw the card he wants, manipulate reality, and to change or evolve his cards. Yuma can also combine with his monster like Z-ARC but that's irrelevant. In addition, he can legit evolve his Utopia just from having hope. Reiji Akaba is great but he would not surpass end of Zexal Yuma. Yuma is either on par or somewhat better than Atem by the end of Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, anime or manga

Most the anime isn't Canon to the Manga. And the manga he actually does beat Kaito. The only episodes in the anime that's Canon is the first duel between Yuma and shark, the first duel between Yuma and Kaito, and the outcome of the duel between Yuma and astral with Yuma winning

If Yuma dueled Kaito in season 2 after a certain point, he probably would've stomped him. By the end of Zexal there's different tiers. There's like, Don Thousand, Shark/Nasch, Zexal, and then Yuma and Astral as individuals. And then the tier under is like Vector, Eliphas, Number 96. Quattro/IV, Kaito and the other Barian Emperors that aren't Vector and Shark would either be in the lower end of this tier or the tier below

Heart of the cards means that Yugi never bricks, draws exactly what he needs at any given time and wins all duels as long as he believes in his deck. DSOD showed you just how powerful the heart of the cards is. Kaiba got a trial run and he managed to summon obelisk from not only outside his deck but reality itself as the card should have no longer existed. Even if he does brick just graceful for five and pot of greed for 2 more, lol

Numbers can only be destroyed in battle by other Numbers, so effects can destroy them.

Zexal, in Arc-V the portal is a bit odd to me. But I really hope that in the Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz dimension ex deck animation was kept, because since the ones in Standard is "not the real deal" and the ones in the others were the "real" ones.

@@KiteKenny11 fair enough although Ray and victory Ray aren't so powerful that reiji would have been taken out that easily. Just saying reiji also has a lot of cards that were not used in this duel and I'd argue that most of them are better than the utopia cards you've listed. For example D/D/D Super Death Great King Whitest Hell Armageddon is a card that wasn't used and it beats basically the whole of yuma's deck. I don't know if it's second effect could trigger on the special summon of utopia victory Ray but if it does then Ray can't out it either. But I guess the fact that number monsters can only be destroyed by number monsters does give the utopias an additional effect which which could turn the tide (although I doubt it). Personally I think reiji is a stronger duelist than Yuma, has a better deck overall and has more consistent and viable win conditions Out of all of the protagonists Yuma is by far the weakest (although this may be bias), Judai is probably second weakest but that's just cause his deck sucks. Elemental heroes and then Neos... Wow they are just terrible, it's amazing Judai won anything. That deck was just asking to brick but then again pot of greed was basically the animes version of a complete comeback victory.

Would he though? I mean, you have to realise that Reiji was not dueling with everything he had in this duel, and Yuma was. Yuma used his ZeXal shining draw several times during the duel and lost. Reiji has his upgraded Ceasar, Alexander and Ghengis combo to negate any rank-up magics, as they special summon, he has contract with eternal darkness, meaning Yuma can't use monsters to xyz summon in the first place, not to mention the hell armageddon trio he can easily get out. Yuma wouldn't be able to get any utopias out to face him. Astral using the other numbers might last longer but he would ultimately still lose.
