truly beutifully, mystically and hauntingly irish...wonderful. i remember hearing this song for the first time. it was 4 years ago and he was letting people download this tune from his website for free.
Saw Declan O'Rourke play this is Kinsale Co.Cork and he said it was about his dog that was his constant growing ran away/disappeared never to return - he was in Australia when his Mum rang him to give him the news
More Declan goodness! Cheers! I've been waiting for ages for someone to post some stuff on this brilliant singer/songwriter. Can anyone tell me if a certain rumour about the identity of "Sarah" is true? I'd be greatly dissapointed if that's the case.
I'm sorry but the rumour is true. The song is actually about a dog....but the great thing about music is that its not supposed to be interpreted in only one way. Keep your original thoughts.
@eiregc09 I See you keep deleting my comments from your channel...I know your in ballymun I already told you that didn't I?..your hardman act is wearing a bit thin now.
Okay... Why would you call a dog Sarah? Who would a dog be laughing? Why would a dog speak to you? Why would a dog be a 'lady' to Declan's 'young man'? It makes absolutely zero sense! For serious!
