You should strategize your fueling more. If you have a load, take the loads miles and divide by the Mpgs you get... Then fuel according to that load. And try to avoid fueling at the end of a pay week. Usually best to balance when you do your fueling.
@BoCEnterprises
@BoCEnterprises 8 месяцев назад
What exactly is your point of only buying enough fuel to finish the load, logic would dictate to fill your tanks at the cheapest locations. Is this a common practice for drivers leased to a mega carrier? It doesn't make financial sense at all.
@SatyrnGameNSoftwareReviews
@SatyrnGameNSoftwareReviews 8 месяцев назад
@@BoCEnterprises well obviously you fuel at cheaper areas too. But if you fuel 800 gallons in one week when loads only required 600. That's 200 gallons wasted which would have been revenue for you.
@BoCEnterprises
@BoCEnterprises 8 месяцев назад
@45trucking guy, how is it wasted, your using it on the next trip. The tanks don't magically go empty after you deliver a load. What you're saying makes zero sense.
@SatyrnGameNSoftwareReviews
@SatyrnGameNSoftwareReviews 8 месяцев назад
@@BoCEnterprises no it doesn't lmao. You might use whatever is left on the next trip but that 200 gallons means 800 dollars less on revenue for your current weeks payout...

@45trucking again, not to come off as rude to you, but the money is going to be spent regardless, it doesn't have any real impact whether it's off one settlement to the next. Well maybe 1 thing I'm misunderstanding, do majority of mega carrier lease drivers depend on the weekly paycheck to be a minimum amount of money

At first glance, my impression is, company > lease. But, the freight market is down. When it picks up, maybe you'll see more gains than us company guys. I'm stuck waiting for the weather too. Cozy at home 😊. Good luck out there. You're working awfully hard, hope it's worth it.

Thank you for the insight and the thorough breakdown of lease vs company driver pay scenarios. Im new to trucking also working for a mega carrier as a company driver...how long would you say i should wait before I get into a lease?
@truckingthesevenseas
@truckingthesevenseas 8 месяцев назад
At least a year experience but more is better... I would also wait until the market improves.

So you’re averaging $272 net per on-duty day. What is your average on-duty hours per day? Assuming 12 hours thats just over $22/hour.

It wasn't a particularly special brand. Anything that films in 1080hd loop record will have the same quality. I Just tried searching it from my orders on amazon and its no longer available so I can't find the model nor does it actually say on the camera.

Usually, the quarterly taxes added up to 2k. End of the year taxes around 4k. Not to bad as far as taxes go, but if your truck starts breaking down, then good paying for a lot of other needs you might have.
