Hi Alexandra I have a suggestion for you you could install a roller blind in the loft to cover all your items , then when you need to get to things you roll it up and you’ll have full access 😊

It's 3:10am here in England and I've been struggling to sleep. General unsettled feeling. Watching your videos genuinely helps me feel calmer so thank you so much! One tip I would have for anyone going a bit stir crazy is practicing gratitude. I think about three different things morning and evening as well as having a gratitude list I can turn to when I need it. It helps me feel more peaceful and less frustrated. Hope lockdown is going as well as it can for you and your loved ones, stay safe x

Thank you Chloe. I’m trying to not be so “in my head” about what’s been going on, but it’s hard. I’ve been drinking more, eating and sleeping less. But this morning I thought about what I was grateful for. I called up my parents and told them how I love them incredibly. I said stuff that I’m not sure I would have ever said to them. It was such a peaceful conversation. Gonna take a long, hot bath today and try to find some levity.

Also for the tv gallery, the last time it felt like it wasn’t incorporated enough because you have white frames, you should get black ones so the tv can really blend in..

I love how you’re so willing to just drill holes and fill/paint them if you change your mind. Once I drill into the wall I feel an anxiety like I better not mess it up, but it’s not a big deal! If you want to cut down on the physical attempts though you could sketch or mock up your ideas first!

Don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes functional spaces just look that way - functional. You could though cover with a curtain, or a roller blind as suggested by Terri Oakley.

This is a lovely video. I totally get it, when I got sick and had to stay indoors for a long time (years ago) I obsessed over my home. The space you are in all the time has to fit you perfectly.

I’ve noticed that your comments sections seem to be some of the most critical I’ve seen on RU-vid. I wish I didn’t have a guess as to why that is but unfortunately...I do. 😬 For the record I think your designs, even if sometimes imperfect, are always creative. I HAVE BEEN CRAVING DOUGHNUTS TOO idek what that’s about. I found some cake doughnuts at the grocery store but they just didn’t cut it. My kingdom for a cinnamon twist. And your comment about “most consecutive hours spent at home” is, as the kids say, A MOOD. I’ve been going nuts over home decor/cozying/nesting too. I ordered paint online at Home Depot for delivery (paint colors selected in advance, don’t worry!) and have been working on getting my spare room set up as a home office. For the last year+ it’s been basically a storage room. But I bought this SWANK white leather and gold office chair on Amazon, and a mint green printer, and it’s inspired me to really get the space fixed up.

I’m so impressed with those doughnuts! Wow! (I wish they’d deliver to rural Oregon...) I’m a foodie who’s been mostly dairy-free for a couple decades and vegan for over 4 years. I’ve tried a lot of macs and 100% recommend Veggie On A Penny’s vegan cheese sauce recipe (mixed with a good, curly pasta like cavatappi) for amazing dairy-free mac & cheese. It’s great served sprinkled with toasted garlic/herb panko crumbs and sided with steamed broccoli and sliced tomatoes. 👍🏼

Love to see that you aren't afraid to redo a space! That is inspiring in itself. Amazing how moving the shelf off center and putting art around the TV brought the space to another level! Big improvement on the loft as well! I agree that the last loft comment were scathing and uncharitable. Glad you are finding joy in the little gifts and blessing we are surrounded by.

I swear, this is so relatable! I’ve been teleworking for a few weeks now. Being home all day makes me look at my home now more-so than I have before. So I started working on some projects throughout my house and although it’s taking a long time to finish them, due to my busy schedule, it feels so good to check them off my list. So. Much. Painting.

I love using clear totes for storage, and I really like how the loft looks now, so much more organized and you can find all of your things. I love that you moved the shelf to the left of the TV, it looks so much better, love the way everything fits around that space and love the other shelf on the wall. I agree that some sort of curtain for the loftspace would be a good idea! 😊 In the livingroom I think you should keep the shelf but remove all that fuss on the bench underneath. Espeacially the tall frame leaning against the wall.

It does look better with everything in its place all organized! You could easily make it more beautiful by adding a sheer white or pink curtain on a spring rod. That would give it some harmony while still allowing you easy access. Good work, Alexandra!

This video was so timely for me. A few weeks ago, I put a picture shelf over my TV and it's been sitting there empty while I tried to figure out what to put there. Lo and behold, I had a stack of coffee table books on the bookcase with no coffee table for them! I popped those up there, added a few things for decor and I'm good to go. Yes! Dairy free living has made my life so much better! Finding vegan places that have your favorite things are a game changer. Also any cooking you do you can usually substitute plant milk from dairy milk and coconut oil for butter. Give it time and you won’t miss it!

Hi Alexandra. I also made a quarantine purchase of the screen TV on sale! It's still sitting in the box though, because even the smallest size is too big to incorporate into a gallery wall in my small space (Dublin cottage). You've made it work with the shelf!! Great idea. I agree with the other comments, you are not afraid to rework something and it's really reassuring to see. I always put off starting in case it goes wrong! We are all looking at our own 4 walls too much at the moment! Thanks for your videos. My 10 year old daughter and I love cats and interior design so we really enjoy watching your videos together! xxx

With the loft, I think a mini curtain on a tension rod in your favorite color. Hides stuff plus gives you a faux window. Love your show.

I have a dairy allergy, so I haven't eaten dairy in about 3 years. One of my faves is the Non-Dairy Fudge Chocolate ice cream from Ben & Jerry's!! Definitely satisfy's a chocolate craving. If you're looking for a dip (best with rice crackers), try the Spread 'Em Kitchen Co. cashes cheezes, I love the chives & garlic one. It's also made in Vancouver, so supporting Canadians!

First of all, if the storage organization works for you, then it's completely fine. Not everything is always going to be 100% aesthetic. That's life. We all can have a Monica Geller Closet. Also I get the gallery wall. I had to re do mine soooooooo many times. Plus I go thru stages where I want everything as minimalist as possible and other times I want it to look like a flea market threw up 😅 Love your vids! They are keeping me motivated!

Omg I'm in love with this reorganizing this time.... the first time I saw these loft organizing video I was like.. cue but is going to get cluttered really quickly and it totally did now it's so much neater and too make it aesthetic you could do a macrame curtain or something to cover as like an art feature but it would also be functional to hide the bins. The living room gallery wall was nice the first time but I definitely felt like there should've been shelving the first time so seeing the pinterest picture of what you were wanting to change it to I was like yes!!!! And once you did it I was even more like yes!!!!!❤❤ I think everything seems more cohesive and organized and aesthetic in the whole space now...I would love to have your place as my own now and it gives me such motivation and inspiration now to accomplish the same for my own space.

I have a photo shelf above my tv in the bedroom, but I think it works because it extends past the tv. If mine was small like yours, I think having it off to the side would be the way to go. I love how it turned out!

These videos make me happy in such uncertain and scary times. I totally understand why you would use clear containers, to be able to see everything you have and everything you are working with, but I always thought it’d be great to maybe put a sort of see through curtain there, so it doesn’t draw so much attention when you look up. Imagine, a sort of see-through white curtain, with POM POMS! Just an idea. Your home is a constant inspo for my own😘 Btw, your new living room is beautiful.

Watching your vlog is so refreshing and optimistic, and most than anything, it is relatable, so thank you! :) ❤️ Re-designing and planning for the future also helps me keep my motivation, though at times it gets a bit frustrating when i cannot complete projects due to isolation.. 😅 You could try homemaking vegan chocolate mousse, it is delicious and guilt-free (does not have bad fats nor sugar). It takes about 5-10 mins to make it (blend all together). Keep in the fridge, not too long 'cause it oxides. 4 (ripe) avocados 1 banana 4 (or according to taste) spoons of cocoa (or carob powder) 2 spoons of water a tiny bit of salt (to amplify the taste) 4 spoons of honey (or maple syrup) 2-3 spoons of coconut oil (optional: vanilla or cinnamon)

I've been using shower curtains, way cheaper, usually funnier and easier to pull and push over the track, if she uses that space often (I always take into account my laziness)!

I liked the first gallery wall that you did, but I love the refreshed look even more. I live in a small space and it can go from balanced to cluttered very quickly. Even something as small as moving a photo shelf can make a huge difference!

I have a suggestion! What if you put a tension rod up in your little storage area and hang a little curtain (hemmed to size) to conceal the area further and make it as styled as I know you love? This way you can be super organized (which you are!) and have a nice little decor moment with a cute curtain. Love your videos!

Hi, Alexadra! Noticed your dish drainer while I was enjoying watching you reorganize your kitchen shelves. Little suggestion for you: I too have a tiny kitchen and no dishwasher. I ordered the greatest 2 tier dish drainer from Amazon. At first I worried a bit about its sturdiness, all for naught! While it was $40, it was the best investment I've made. I love your show, so cute. So helpful!
