Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share this new declutter and organize my kids' closet and my closet with me!! I was in search of one special shirt I NEEDED to find. I spent most of my life looking for this shirt and have now decided to get rid of everything that isn't that one shirt. haha Dramatic, I know - also kidding.

Whenever Meredith smiles, I smile. So cute. Suggestion. have a box labeled "Safe place" and put in a visible place. You will train yourself to use that to house items needed for future events. Putting an item in a random place never works. Life is tooooooooo chaotic in 2020.

@@thewadsquad another idea is just put the item in a zip lock bag ( like you did) and attach it to a fridge magnet on the fridge. You will see it easily. You are not a failure of a mom.

@@jenniferhil942 i purposfully get up before my kids so i have that time. I sztarted doing that a year ago as mornings were hectic in my house and i found i needed time to wake up gather my thoughts and prep for my day. Im so much happier for doing it.

I'm thinking maybe put a folder in your phone called a safe place and take a photo of the things you put in a safe place for reference. Just an idea

We all need a drawer or cabinet in our houses specifically labeled “Safe Place” for all the things we know we’ll never find anywhere else.

We should just all have a closet that's marked safe place and every time we try to put something in a safe place we put it there. Maybe if it only had one location it would actually be accessible again in the future. 😂

KiM🙂... A few organization tips.. If you do not have time/energy to regularly sort clothes to box and store in eg the garage, basement or attic until the smaller kids need/grow into those clothes.. There is an alternative.. 1) have to labeled "to small" bin in each kids cupboard.. To throw in clothes when you know it doesn't fit the child 2) have a labeled "to big" bin... To throw stuff in when you buy or get donated clothes from family/friends etc.. Then eg.. when the "to small" bin is full in your older sons cupboard... Move the stuff to your younger sons cupboard...and a) hang the stuff if your younger kid can use it straight away or b) put it in his "to big bin" until he can use it etc.. 3) any clothes the kids take off and have holes, they don't like etc.. Throw in the trash straight away! Hope that helps you or someone! PS. Label you kids clothes draws.. Eg pj's, t-shirts, long pants, shorts etc... Then you don't have to think about it when you put the clean clothes back in.

I wanted to cry, because we all have mom failure moments. It feels like no matter how hard we try we can never caught up. Try not to be so hard on yourself. Look up the fly lady clean up system. She came up with it because she actually had a mental break down.

Kim with your 3 older children you need to have a laundry basket for each of them. When the clothes are washed, folded then put them in the laundry basket. It is up to them to put away their own clothes.

Hi Kim, we put on our costumes and had a party with nachos, pig in a blanket mummies, the viral “Birria tacos with consomé”, green punch for kids, sangria for the adults....we carve pumpkins, decorated cupcakes, dance thriller and had a costume contest.... I also have been trying to declutter since I founded out I was pregnant with my third baby (March 2019), but somehow we still have a lot of stuff.....if we ever move somewhere it would take a few days to take everything😖 but I’ve been doing your five mins challenge and my house it’s been more clean...thank you

I know you're a very busy mom- but may I suggest another youtuber called 'the minimal mom'? I wasn't getting it until I watched quite a few of her videos. My children are grown- so I've been where you are. I only had 3 kids but my youngest are twins (both boys) and they gave me a run for my money! Kim you make my day! I just wish I had implemented some of these simple tricks when the kids were much younger. Don't be too hard on yourself- you're doing great!!

You are right Kim - a big No to a bigger house - it takes forever just to vacuum and then to wash a bigger kitchen floor or bathroom floor a huge "NO." Kids grow up and eventually leave home.

My friend and I have both put away our mom’s jewelry “in a special place” only to hunt for it later for weeks and weeks. So we developed a system. Now I will get a message from her that says simply “Up in the antique tea pot”. And then I can go back and look when she comes to me in a year from now. 😉 It’s brilliant! Next time tell us. Lol

Since finding out I have inattentive ADHD I am learning that my astounding ability to lose or forget things, my tendencies to talk too much, too fast, or with sidenotes and asides detracting from my point, to be late or to fail to organise unless I am ‘in the mood’ are part of my adhd and not something to blame myself for. May we all come to accept ourselves. I am not a failure, I am doing my best! I also recognise that my humour, my flexibility, enthusiasm, joyful spirit and openmindedness are the positive flip-side to those traits! Anyway, Wentworth won’t remember t-shirt gate but he will remember having an awesome fun-loving mum who took time out with him, made him Halloween cookies and who did her best for him 🙂

I never understand why teachers sent things home weeks/months early that had to go back to school.
