I’m going to admit I wasn’t going to watch this video because your house is so organized. Everything you pointed out that needs to be decluttered makes so much sense. You put everything in perspective by opening my mind to why am I keeping that junk in the first place!!

I totally understand, sometimes I do hold onto stuff and end up throwing them away and then asking myself why did I buy this and then hanging onto it and not using it 🤦🏽♀️, thanks for sharing.❤️
I just said I’m doing this on Saturday. We’re moving out of state within the next year and we will downsizing into an apartment until we build a house. It’s gonna be hard but happy to share our really nice things with the goodwill.
Loved your video, Sophie! When I saw the title, I thought, “ what could she possibly find to declutter?!” Lol! Good job! As far as the whisk- I don’t have a nice whisk like that but wish I did! I RARELY need a whisk, but there are times when I do and then am scrambling to find something, like a mixer beater, to use instead! I think if you have room for it, give it a little more time and try it out! Yesterday I finally got out and used a pampered chef food chopper I bought two years ago. Lol! I kept seeing it in my drawer but never wanted to take the time to learn how to use it! So yesterday I decided I’d try it out before I decluttered it, and I’m kicking myself that I didn’t bother using it before! 🤔🤣
I sure was able to find stuff! I love when that happens from hunting for things to declutter, you end up finding something you havent been using and actually start using it!
I was right with you on the destash train until you got to organization bins. . I collect organization bins for future projects and just reorganized them (again)😂

Yes I donate as much as possible or offer things to family or friends. Some more expensive clothing items I also try to sell to consignment stores if possible!

I would have kept the breast pump parts. Whoever you pass the pump on to once you're done with it might need those. I've heard that women's shelters like sample sizes of bathroom and makeup products.
Speaking of decluttering, how do you handle shredding of paperwork? I hate doing it and it ALWAYS seems to pile up despite my attempts to create a regular weekly schedule.
We try to stay on top of it and shred things as they come in daily. For longer term papers I go through my files a couple of times a year and do a bulk shred.
My daughter just moved home for field work for her OT doctorate and I'm going slightly crazy with all of the boxes and an extra bed. I need to do some uncluttering of my own in the basement so some can go there.
