Thank your for watching! I found some vinyl clothing dust covers very similar to mine and put them in the Home Section of my Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/faithandflour I hope that helps you out if you are in search of some for your out of season clothing. Have a blessed day! 💛Robin
Wow, you’re good! You made me want to go declutter something lol. I can’t help but be motivated when watching your videos. You inspire me to want to be a better homemaker. Thank you! I learn more effective ways of doing tasks and see the benefits and necessity of having cleaning schedules. You always look pretty and classy but in this video you seemed to have a radiance. Thanks for investing your time and expertise in us. Blessings 🪴
Thanks for this video. I particularly Love that you explained the reason why certain items wont work for you anymore. Really enjoy the decluttering wardrobe videos....I have a silvery puffer style jacket much like yourself that I purchased in the US and it has proved rather invaluable and I'm STILL wearing after 6 years (its a Calvin Klein from TJ Maxx). We are heading into winter here in Australia 💕
I was just thinking about decluttering the shoes in my closet. Great minds. 🤓. I love decluttering videos for motivation and inspiration. You have wonderful deferment strategies. Thank you. I’ll get busy now. Melissa 🌼
I love your walk in closet Robin! I always struggle to let go of clothes that are a little on the tight side. I have bagged some up for the loft for now. If they are not worn in a year, they are going to be donated.
Great video Robin. I just purged my clothes in my closet and then went shopping lol but it was good to get rid of clothes I don't wear anymore (which was a lot) I gave away more than I purchased so that should count lol I definitely want to get those shoulder covers for out of season clothes. Not sure why I didn't think of that before lol God bless. ✝️❤️
I love your closet with the dark shelving/drawers. Very pretty! This video will definitely motivate me to reassess my closet. Thank you for another great inspiring video. :-)
Hi Robin - I just returned from water aerobics and I am icing my knee and watching this. It is so good to declutter isn’t it? I am like you and went thru every closet, desk and drawer in my home a few years ago to get more minimal. It took me about 15 years to get totally thru all my mothers things after she passed away. She never got rid of everything and it was especially hard to get thru all her paperwork. I decided right then I would not do that to my girls. I even put together a booklet for them if I become unable to handle my business. I have everything I can think of that they would need to know there. I also have a section on what to do when I die. Numbers to call to get my money, things that need to be stopped that I have done automatically. I found that all so hard when my mom died. I have also put them on all my bank accounts etc. Going thru my clothes is hard because I seem to change sizes so often. I hope to stop that trend. You always inspire me Robin. You inspired me to start doing the Bible Recap and now both of my daughters are doing it too. Blessings to you sweet sister.
That is excellent Donna! Your daughters will really appreciate your organization and thoughtfulness. I’m so glad you are all enjoying the Bible Recap! He is where the JOY is! 🙏👍😊💕
This message was so on point; my mother passed 8 years ago and I still have about 20 boxes in the garage that I have not gotten through; my hubby and I moved into a new home 5 years ago but even with that I have so much personal stuff beside my mom's stuff; I know if something happened tomorrow my daughters would park the junk truck outside and get rid of most of it. How do you get rid of stuff that is so sentimental.
Not wearing something for a year is not a reason to get rid of it! I'm French and I can't understand this rule. One year is only four seasons! And these seasons are very different in lots of countries, so we do not get so much wear out of it. If we only buy good quality, chic and timeless items, they will last for years and sometimes decades. I only have items I love and are great but I do not wear ALL of them every summer or winter, yet I'm delighted to wear them again after a couple of years, especially when the colour is trendy again for that year! It is like shopping in my wardrobe, it's economical, ecological and never boring. About the lovely coral top, I hope you'll wear it, the colour must be gorgeous on you :) But if you don't feel great in it, well yes, there's no reason to keep it.
This question is totally off today’s topic but I would like to know how you fit your “zone cleaning” in with your daily “to do” list? From what I have gleaned from your videos, you like to have coffee, exercise, prepare and eat breakfast, spend time with our Lord. Is it at this time you begin a daily task ... say vacuum and mop, followed by something in your zone?
Hi Jana! It really depends on the day. I will either spend about 15 minutes each day “zone cleaning” or I will do it all in one day when I have a larger chunk of time. 💗💕
This has been THE year when I've regretted getting rid of a few things. I never, ever thought I'd return to a stage when all 5 of us would be home 24/7/365. I got rid of alot of drinking glasses & cups a few years ago. Well...that was a mistake. I had to buy more. Who knew a pandemic was coming? Also, in keeping with pandemic topic...does the rule "if you haven't worn it for a year, it goes" apply this year? 😆 Hang on to that ski jacket, Robin! Travel days will return.⛷️
Yes Amanda! That probably happened to more than a few of us. What a crazy, unexpected year (going on two!) that we have had. I think we will have to bend several “rules”! 😂 But I do have to say that our home functioned very well without all of the clutter and we were able to enjoy our space so much more under the circumstances. A few regrets here and there were totally worth it in our case. 👍😄💕
The drape on that coral blouse is lovely, but the shape is probably just too long for your body. A tailor could shorten, and possibly restyle, the garment so that you'll love it.
Hi my name is Ivy (using my husband Jimmy’s account) just wanted to tell you how much you inspire me!! Not only that but when I view your videos, I feel a sense of peace and calm and love for myself! Strange right? Never stop doing what you do ♥️ Hugs and blessings 🙏🏻
you are my favorite RU-vidr! U have al my house clean with joy, while watching your videos. I even watch them on repeat. Love your calm and positive voice! God bless you and your family!
Great job, Robyn! I love your closet, it's sooo cool, we don't have that usually in Europe as much. :-) May I ask where you got your blue jacket from? The first one you pulled out of your closet? It looks very cute and I am looking for one of these for over a year now... greetings from (finally) Switzerland!
@@FaithandFlour Oh OK, that's fine, at least now I know exactly what I am looking for! It would have been a very small chance to get that outside of the US anyways, but I thought I'd give it a try! :-) Have a great day!
Hi Robin, Thoroughly enjoyed video. I have two bags waiting to take to Goodwill with summer clothes. Will go thru closet again come fall n winter. Thanks for sharing. Have a fantastic and blessed week.
Yes to decluttering 😁 if only more people knew how good it feels to declutter. When it comes to clothing less is more indeed. Thanks for the motivation and tips. GOD bless you 🥰💕 I just decluttered my closet a few weeks ago. A tip that I have is to let go of items even if other people like how it looks on you but you don't.
Great video! You sound like you've already listened to The Minimalists. Not sure if you have watched Ashlynne Eaton on RU-vid, but she's a great resource as well! I am a minimalist also and have found so much value in getting rid of much of my stuff.
I have been doing the one in one out for awhile including shoes. I started by putting them in a box or bag in my closet and if I didn't take out apparently I was safe donating them. This worked for me and actually taking it out of my drawers or closet where I see daily but not actually completely gone made me more comfortable at first.
There are tons of items in my closet that I haven't worn in years. I have a medium size walk in and live alone so my closet isn't crowded at all, but that's no excuse to leave all the clutter in there. You've motivated me to do a section a day and clear out everything I don't wear. I also have a dresser drawer that I haven't even opened in probably over a year, I'll get that cleared out as well.
What brand name is the lightweight down your in-laws got you in Paris? Please share. I always enjoy your videos - great ideas and Recommendations. Thank you.
Robin, just wanted to let you know that i bought that black light and OH MY Heavens, i thought my bathrooms where clean, but Not at all, Thank you for that great tip will be using that alot.
I am just in the process of going through closet to get ready for summer. One large bag of clothing, couple pair of shoes and 2 purses that just didn't work well for me.
I love the shirt you were wearing in this video. It looks so pretty on you. If I may ask, where did you get it? I’d love to get one. Fabulous video. Excellent explanation of how to do a closet declutter. Your voice is also very calming and pleasant to listen too. I’m off to my closet ! 😁👍
Thank you! This top came from Ann Taylor several years ago. I don’t think it is currently available, but you might get lucky and find a thrifted one at Poshmark or ThredUp. 😊💕
Another great video. I love decluttering ever since I've gotten into the less is more and being able to go into any room and do a quick reset. What I enjoy is seeing how much I can fill my dining room table with and then immediately getting it out of the house to donate.
Thank you Sheila! That was a gift from my mother in law found in a shop in Paris. It doesn’t have a label, so I’m sorry I cannot provide more information. 💕
