Here’s how I decluttered 75% of my yarn and craft stash, and how you can do the same!
I had more things than I could ever use in my lifetime, and it was causing me more stress than joy. But while decluttering the rest of my house had been easy, my craft supplies were much harder!

Very interesting to see you decluttering! I recently went through my wool collection, as I saw a post on FaceBook from my local WI, asking for donations to make blankets with. It was a lot easier to be ruthless when I knew there was definitely someone who wanted my stuff! I need to do lots more sorting and decluttering, but it was a good start, and it's nice not having the occasional bout of guilt over the ghosts of projects ;-)

We all have our seasons. I teach school and have to remind myself that I need my crochet (or crafts). It isn't an option, it helps my stress. But I found myself recently in a position where I had watched Zero crafty RU-vid videos, so I came back. You were one of the 1st people I looked for and nothing! I'm so glad you are back! Plus, this is timely because I've been generally decluttering. My husband and I do not have kids and I keep saying things like "No one is going to want my high school crap!"

I have been in the process of decluttering my yarn/craft stash for the past two years and was looking for some new inspiration and hints/tips on YT. Almost every video that shows up is just people reorganizing their yarn stash even if there is decluttering or destashing in the title. Thanks for sharing your journey! Very helpful!

I’ve did what you did in January and used the very same boxes I now love my space am living in xx I got rid of some yarn 🧶 and I got rid of a lot of clothes xx I feel a lot lighter now xx

Hi, well done! I have come to the conclusion that every time I try to declutter I may not get the result I first planned but little by little it does get easier. Therefore, if I stop buying anything at all, I should eventually get it right, yes?😅😅

I recently went through all my paper crafting stuff and got rid of a lot of it, felt good! But could I do that with my yarn? Not yet! My local craft group makes a lot for charity and I'm happy to use some of my stash for that. I'm also trying to not buy supplies which I feel is along the same lines as destashing!
