When you brought up the Stila and the issues with it I was so, so confused. I have a Stila highlighter and my problem with it is it's so weak, so minimal, I have to apply it with a dense brush and then do 3 to 5 layers and even then, it's only very slightly glowy. Your review absolutely shocked me. Then I looked at the tiny package in your hand (mine is a big pan) and the bronze compact (mine is gold) and that sent me to google...turns out your glitter bomb is the Heaven's Dew and my watered down meh is the Heaven's Hue (mine is in the beautiful lilac shade Transcendence, so sad it's so meh). Now it makes sense.

The JCat Bella Rose highlight is the only shade in the line that will give the metallic seen from space look. It's a pale icy pink shade that melts into the skin without looking powdery or cakey, almost like a baked gelee. It's stunning

A gold star system is needed so you can track the next declutter if you get rid of the golden star recipients. They get saved, they wear the gold star.

That's like my red nail polish collection (hoard). I only wear red polish and for the last few yrs, I've been looking for a dupe for Chanel's Dragon, long since discontinued, and when out and about, bought every bottle that looked like it. Now, I have at least 40 bottles in an almost identical red shade and not one is a Dragon dupe!!

Just an idea to make powder products last longer. Get isotropy spray (medical alcohol spray), and clean your pallets/components and then clean off the layer of dust (if their is any) off of the product and spray well with the alcohol to sanitise really well. If you can sanitise and clean your makeup products as often as possible, they can last a lot longer than you think. Mainly powder based products. Unfortunately mascaras after 3 or 4 mths have to be chucked out and any face products that have an SPF in them - follow the opened guide of time of use e.g. 18 months to the letter. I pop a sticker on them somewhere and write the date i opened to be sure i don't go past it. But, you powder products can be salvaged if looked after well and be ok to use pass their 24 month opening dates unless otherwise marked with a "use by" date. Just a few tips i picked up from some Makeup Atrists. Also, dip your eye/lip pencils into alcohol (medical grade 70%) and sharpen then dip in again and let dry and your pencils will also last a lot longer and be safer. I only says this as looking at the lovely highlighter Theresa has and doesn’t want to part with but it's old, you could give it a really good clean and sanitisation and it should be ok. As it's not going on the eye area, etc. No one I know in makeup throws out eyeshadows or some poweder products exactly on their due date and they very regularly clean and sanitise their kit/personal kit, so as to get as much life out of the products as possible. However, at the end of the day it's personal choice and preferences. Please also do *not* take my advice as gospel or purely professional. It's advice given 2nd hand from other MUAs. Edit - obviously let the alcohol spray etc, dry before you close up the products and out them away. Being alcohol it wont take long at all but don't close damp.

I should probably pull some of my bitter lace beauty highlighter from the giant palette that is stored in my bedroom to a smaller palette in my bathroom where i will actually remember to use them. Ive been using my older ColourPop stick blush and highlighter lately and they're still good. I think i have some dried out super shocks that may need the heave ho. In the middle of clothes and shoes declutter though.

I love that you gave second chances to those babies. ❤ Hey, did you think of more ideas for your boo buckets? The only idea I had was to stack them using some type of wire through the middle. Make two columns and connect them with an arch at the top. You know, like those arches in gardens and some wedding photo bullshit? But yours is Halloween themed. I have three boo buckets sitting here that my kid got and didn't touch. I thought about sending them to you, but I could hear Alex saying "No, please don't." Eh boy. Let me know. 😅

Im not gonna beg for any makeup but i am gonna beg you to tell me wtf is on your nails cuz its SO pretty and i love the color. It reminds me of the fun shade in the OG baby yoda palette that i loved but never got to use because i dropped my palette and that shade blew itself up and went everywhere😂

So new to make up, I decluttered the very limited pieces I had from pre-pandamic. I am a little obsessed with highlighters. My inner 14 year old wants all the glitter. I just bought on sale, Glamlite's Frosties loose highlight powder to try. And I bought a JSC Extreme Frost off of someone on depop, if this makes me a bad person. So be it, because it is so pretty!

I am so glad the Cinderella highlighter got saved. I bought mine based on your review and I was like, “shot if hers is old mine is old!” And it made me sad cause I use that bitch everyone I wear make up. Inner corner on the eye and tip of my nose. anyways you saved yours and mine 😆😅
