Now that was really satisfying to watch! Nothing like a clean up. As to the old things, a couple of them I'm sure of, the others I'm guessing. From the left, 1.: A type of row maker for planting seeds? or a different kind of edger? 2.: definitely an old fashioned edger for a lawn, pre motor powered? 3. I've never seen one like this, but from the metal part on the bottom, I'm guessing a grass mower, or a hedge clipper? 4. Looks like a hook you might use to wrangle fire wood? 5. And of course the last is a hand scythe, would be used for various tasks, like cutting the long grass around trees. I'm interested to see how close I was, especially the spade shaped shovel at number 1. This was fun! Thanks Joe☺
@@papajoeknows8355 Interesting. The Grass/weed whip must have been a type of scythe for weeds and brush. I'm guessing the bottom cross piece is metal that could be sharpened. Altogether my memory is not too bad😄 We had lots of different hooks, some smaller some larger, used for different things. We raised walnuts, not hay or straw, so I wouldn't have seen one used like that. My best friends family raised cattle, so must have had hay, but we spent most of our time caring for her 4-H projects, like lambs!
@@kayerin5749 all in all, you did very well. Yes the grass whip was akin to a scythe. You would sharpen the blade and swing it like a golf club, and it would cut in both directions. I think I might do a video about them while I give them a little love with some Ballistol.
