Today, I tackled one of the hardest spaces in my home. My personal home office/craft room. This decluttering project was challenging and brought on my anxiety. I pushed through and made "some" progress. Join me as I sort through the chaos, find ways to organize my supplies, and create a more functional and inspiring space.

You did a good job. The way you felt about this room is how I feel about my entire house and garage. I have done quite abit of decluttering over the years and it gets recluttered. I am in a frozen state now, not knowing where to start. When I do my basic cleaning (which I start over daily) with the kids, the dogs, the husband, you know what I mean so much damn stuff all over the place. We are starting to have a few renos to do as well that my husband does not get around to and that makes me feel even more overwelmed. You started somewhere and the room turned out great, I need to start over and do the same one area at a time. It's the anxiety that is somehow blocking me from getting started. Thanks for your videos, you are a real down to earth person, I've seen some videos online of women dressed fancy cleaning their already clean and decluttered big fancy homes, I don't get it and it's not motivating.

You did a great job in your creative space. I make quilts and am learning water color. I have a small bedroom that is my happy place. Whenever I straighten/ declutter it that gives me encouragement to get in there and make something!😊

Lovely art work i love rooms like this i dislike when ppl are told they need to declutter when half the time all thats needed is organisation though i understand if you dont have room and live in a smaller house

Nice work. I get too attached to stuff, and get anxious sometimes. I still use that journal called Throw It Away by Guru Notebooks.

Great video Declutering is overwhelming but rewarding when it's done. Yes I have a difficult time declutting my storage room and bedroom closet. I get major anxiety. I agree some things are so hard to just give away.

There are some rooms for me that are easy. But this room is just much, much harder. Just know I know what it is like. I know it can be so very hard. 💗🥰💗

I feel ya sister! I own three sewing machines and can't read pattern one! I'm not getting rid of any of them. One is my mother's in a beautiful wood cabinet my husband refinished, one I've had since early in our 43 year marriage (my husband won it at work, they used to have something called "safety bingo") this is the machine I mended on and fooled around on and know what all the buttons do then the third machine I bought to have so his sister could actually sew on and show me ( that never took) how to sew and embroider on, she calls it my Cadillac machine, that was kinda expensive.....so three machines and i still cant sew.....but i will die with them in my possession. I have a ten by twelve bedroom I call my sewing room.....now you know I have a screw loose....

@@vvvv-h8m I have nine grand children I'm sure someone will want them. My mother's needs to be in a museum somewhere. My father bought her that because he assumed that all women knew how to sew and there were five of us kids....needless to say, she put her toaster oven on it in her kitchen! Every household needs a sewing machine for nothing else but for the mending.

If you look, I have an over-lock machine, embroidery, and two sewing machines. I am by no means a professional. I dabble in sewing and can follow simple patterns and make my own in my head. On RU-vid, there are so many simple projects they walk you through. I don't think you have any screws loose at all. You might be surprised that it will just click and you will be sewing everything. 🌸🌸🌸🌸 Love, Mrs G

I absolutely think you did an awesome job! I agree with not getting rid of something you may need!. Just a question, why would you get rid of your sewing machine? That's something you'll always use, unless you don't like that one. I had to buy something just to keep my American Express card, I got a notice that if I don't use it then they will cancel my card. That makes me mad to spend money I don't want to spend. I finally decided on dish cloths and dish towels and pot holders, I have some awful looking ones. I use things to death because we are on such a fixed budget and I don't like to waste. But still, to be forced to spend money!!!!! You did really well!!!!!!! I liked your water color pictures, your pretty good! ❤❤❤❤🦋🦋❤❤🦋🦋❤❤

I purchased a new one a couple of years back. So I have two. But on the other hand if the new one ends up needing service..... Crazy how they tell you , that you must spend money. Yes, the living room is one large open space the couch divides that space. We tried the dining room and no one was using it so my office was returned to that space. 🩷🥰🩷

My laundry room, we’ve done some renovations in the basement, and my husband isn’t done yet, so his tools are all in there and he’s can’t wait to start emptying the room.

I had a put together garden area like your doll house rooms. i ended up trashing it. i could not for the life of me figure it out. im normally a patient person. that send me over the edge. i grabbed my trash can & scooped it it. aaww I can breathe again. 😂😂🤣🤣

Wow! You did great 👍. Especially since it’s hot in there, that usually shuts me down, but you pressed on. Even if you feel like it’s not quite finished, you certainly put a huge dent in this space.

Yes! Thank you! The heat and I do not mix. The air conditioner cools the other side of the living room more than this side. I generally run a fan but needed extra lighting. 😂 old house problems haha. Thank for the comment and for being here. ☀️😂🌸

Love that! Yes, it is. I * love* everyone's ideas comments and input. So in the end, I have to decide what I can and want to live with or without. That's what makes us all special and different. My biggest thing is to use what I have and stop adding to it.

I wish I had a space like yours but my apartment is so small, one bedroom and one livingroom, no space to have hobbies. It looks like you have made a space in your livingroom, maybe I could do that? But I am afraid that it will make my livingroom look messy, I am a messy person, things all over. I can not declutter, love all of my stuff and do not know where to start or what I can toss without regrets. You did a good work in your space. Love your paintings. Hugs from Sweden

What if you create a small area and then when not in use put a room divider in front of it? As far as decluttering I always go for what I know is trash first. It is a starting point. I love my stuff to but I also have the issue where we downsized 5 years ago to our forever home and I still have as much if not more as when we moved in.
