In this video, I walk you through the stark differences between decodable readers and leveled readers, highlighting how leveled readers often miss the mark on phonics and decoding, leading kids to guess words from pictures instead of actually reading them. Through stories from my own classroom and well-documented research, I share why I believe decodable readers are the key to unlocking reading success from kindergarten through second grade and how they are extremely beneficial for early reading instruction.
