Internal debt have one plus point. If govt not able to pay Bank fails and depositors going to bankrupt(public). Like China. In external debt govt going to fail and inflation hit hard the country like pakistan but in both cases public ki le li jaati hai.

This is not good for economy, GDP growth, credit rating of India in the long term. Public debt is the reason behind rising taxes on tax payers, middle class, lower middle class & poor people.

India's gdp in 2040 will be 8 to 9 trillion....as per academic point of view.

Actually it is a concerning issue for any country since its internal debt is huge compared to external debt because there won't be any kind of regulation over the internal institutions by the indian government and as they were totally controlled by mostly indian government, they are completely vulnerable and susceptible to domestic challenges like inflation which are not quickly exposed to the outside world. This is a game played by any government to keep their people in all illusion that their country is developing but in real its not. So this is actually dangerous.
