Whether a teapot is thrown or slab-built, by definition it makes, holds and serves tea. Miki demonstrates her approach to aesthetic and practical concepts behind her slab-built teapot forms, its basic elements and overall construction considerations.

She lives in the SF Bay Area and is a ceramics teacher at the Palo Alto Art Center and South Bay Ceramics in Mountain View. Not sure if she teaches anywhere else in the area. She is a great teacher and she does amazing designs on her work as well. I have had her as a ceramic teacher a few times and learn new things each time.

What do you mean "I'm not going to go and make the exact teapot" Yes I am! I love them, you taught me so much. I collect teapots now I'm going to make teapots, well I haven't started but, I will thank you very much. You're entertaining, informative and adorable!

I enjoyed this ladies antics so much, that I had to rewatch a part of it . I wasn't payig any attention to her demonstration. She is a delight to watch. She has a great sense of humor AND is cute as hell .

A good clear presentation, the close up would help with the next one for the over 40 eyes....
