Kay, all of my pillows are old bedroom pillows which have depleted their life & i fold them and stuff. Your new cabinet to decorate will be alot of fun for you. We have always had cats but don't allow them on kitchen table, or counters. The only time I have witnessed our cats is when I was gifted a potted plant with some type of grass. Otherwise, we have done well keeping any of our cats down from any 'kitchen' or dining area. I think as young kittens & able to jump up they learned.. or I should say they learned to Not be caught. Haha. So any decorations I put out for display, seems to stay intact. I am a maximal decorator, but love the clean decor you have achieved. Yet another lovely video.
My favourite season is Autumn.. and the beautiful vibrant colours. still quite warm here during the day, in New Jersey, US. Missing the brisk country Autumnal walks back home in the U.K. Lovely haul Kay. I’ve never really decorated for the seasons only Christmas time but I think I’ll try a few changes like adding wreaths, earthy pillows to help with creating a warm cozy atmosphere. So sad about our wonderful Queen. May she RIP..and Thankyou for lightening the mood with an uplifting vlog.
Kay, I always use a cushion pad two inches bigger than the cushion cover to get 'choppable' cushions. And I find feather much more successful than fibrefill. xx
Mrs. Dan Dare here. Hi Kay, to get that extra plush expensive fat look from your cushions I agree with what some other people have said use cushion inserts that are 2 inches bigger than your cushion cover. So if you have a 20" cushion cover use a 22" insert and so on. Hope that helps x

Looking great! When I need extra fall decorations I get some natural pumpkins and gourds to spread around. And then a when the season is over, I can easily toss them in the compost (and avoid an extra trip to the attic;)

I’m not big into decorating for seasons but I do have my all round bits and pieces, but I’m thinking of adding more cosy throws and getting some battery operated candles as well as get hubby to make some new real candles with an autumn scent x considering also a couple of pumpkins for decor .
I don't tend to decorate much for the seasons except a little for Christmas but this really makes me want to decorate! It looks soooo cosy and I LOVE the pottery pumpkins ❤

It looks very nice. I like the less is more approach also. I need to change the candle holder on my coffee table. We have a sudden return to a summer day, but I am cooking a very cozy supper in my new slow cooker.

Your home looks so cozy. I am the opposite of a minimalist. So I hope you don't mind my saying that I think some kind of prints or groupings on either side of your window above your sofa would really warm it up without being too much. That's just me but when I watch your videos, which I absolutely love, I tend to focus on that wall. Just a suggestion as I think everything you do is wonderful!

Please don’t get real feather inserts. The cruelty those birds have to go thru is unbelievable. You wouldn’t rip a kittys fur out so why do it to ducks and geese 😢
