Suggestion The black plant stand is throwing the balance of the room off. Spray paint the legs gold, leave the pot white, it will ground the room with the black curtains and pull everything together.

Many people have a multipurpose room now- a days, but I still look at it as your home office. I love it because you're customizing it to your liking . It's nice to see different styles of decor and ideas. It's hard to watch some home decor videos because they're pretty much a like . I like yours because you bring your own flair to the table. Is the plant bothering you in the white pot because it's not a tall plant? It may look nice after you hang your curtains if the color of the pot is your concern . There will be contrast from the black curtains. I don't know... trying to help. LOL

Hey April... I am loving the house, decor etc. SUGGESTION: try some Gold washie or washy tape around the white part of the planter. That way you have all three colors and you can change it later. Amazon has the best gold washi tape the thin one works the best. But that would make your pot unique. People are doing some amazing wall designs also with Washi tape.
