Decorating for Christmas // Garden Answer 

I go back and watch the Christmas videos every year - starting with this one - it is 9/15/22 - and this is what started everyone wanting to see how Laura decorated all her trees and her house……and Aaron decorating the outside with lights!! I just never get tired of these. Thank you Laura and Aaron!!!

now it is December 2021, Dexter has passed and now we are entertained by Russell and Cheddar. I laughed when you said you intended to have as many as 9 trees in the house as the last owners did. The both of you have done so much with the house and the south gardens. Thank you for this gift you share with us, as the season is at a close and we are dreaming of next years gardens and buying seeds instead of silly Christmas gifts. lol. I have been going through your tutorials and getting more and more excited about decorating our home, inside and outside. Merry Christmas Aaron, Laura, Benjamin and Samantha Grace

So much fun to look back on this. Dexter under the tree gave me the feels. It’s hard to believe how much you’ve added in 4 years… two beautiful children, new land, and many, many more lights. Merry Christmas.

Came inside after working outside for 6 hours. Love it! And the best way to take a break is to watch older Garden Answer videos. So relaxing, and I love seeing how things have changed over the years. Thank You for sharing your life with us Laura and Aaron! It's so cool to see how Aaron really gets into the spirit!

This video popped up this morning so I watched it again and it's so sweet how excited you are about the snow... before all 52" come down. 😂😂. You have met your goal of Christmas trees everywhere though!

I LOVE that you got a shot of the "low prices guaranteed" bag as you bought a $12 box of lights. :-P

Girl, you are so thrilled to be doing your dream job that it is contageous! I made 2 horse head wreaths and folks went nutso and I'm not even a floral type person...Mercy! Love seeing old videos lol. I've never seen them. I started to watch you guys probably during covid in 2020 when I was trying to learn how to garden.

I had to laugh Laura, JoAnn is my most important piece of mail also. Your trees are beautiful and I also decorate from inside out. I was able to find enough lights that work to fill the tree without buying more. I was putting the Angel on the top when all of the light went out except the very bottom strand. I wanted to set on the floor and cry. I couldn’t believe it. After getting over the shock of it and thinking what to do , I change the fuses on two of the strands. It worked. I can not tell you how many strand of lights in our attic that none of the lights work or half of the strand are out. I wonder if this happens to anyone else. So Frustrating. The outside is beautiful too. Wonderful job Aaron. Ann from Va.

I know I am late in watching this video. But I have to say I always put a lot of lights on my tree. In fact, each branch would have its own set of lights. So when I take the tree apart, I just remove the branches. The lights have lasted 17-19 years because they don't get jostled with removing the lights from the tree. My son says my tree can be see from outer space because of all the lights.

It was awesome seeing your house and property lit up from the air. That drone idea was genius and Aaron did an amazing job decorating, you two make a great team (couple)!!!!

Agreed in the Christmas trees! I usually put up all 10 of mine plus our main tree which we buy fresh every year. Love having all different themes throughout the house.

Beautiful. You need to store those beautiful ornaments your parents gave you in ornament boxes. As the years go by you will treasure these ornaments even more, I have some my mother gave me that are more than fifty years old.

Christmas lights in general are expensive but if they last you a few years then got for it! I had mine for like 7 years and just bought new ones this year!

my tree is a pre lit 7ft tree. this year i added the twinkling lights. it looks fantastic! i too put shinny ornaments inside the tree to catch the reflection of the lights as well as fill it up.

Yay! Its August 2017 but Christmas will be here soon. My daughter insisted on pink lights on our tree last year. This Christmas I'll be adding a new 'Baby's 1st Christmas' ornament since I now have a new addition.

Very important to decorate the tree from the inside out, both lights and ornaments, and the ornaments must hang freely or we can't sleep at night. That is exactly how my daddy taught me to decorate a tree....but we only use glass ornaments (german ones) and a real tree. Way to go Aaron....and Dexter is precious. Merry Christmas from South Carolina.

Even though you don't have decor all the way through some of those trees yet, that just means you've got something to look forward to as a gift in your stocking each year Laura! How spectacular is that? My MIL used to give a Hallmark Christmas ornament for awhile, then she stopped for whatever reason. We looked forward to that. I love the trees & lights! I've never thought of having more than 1 tree but next year we'll be moving to Wyoming so maybe I'll start a new tradition (is tough to be in the spirit in nasty FL December heat! ). I love the idea of having themed trees! Merry Christmas

At one time, we had a tree in every room of our house ... even the bathrooms. LOL The kids loved it. Now they have their own trees and we have just one :)

My husband and I each buy a new Hallmark ornament every Christmas. We write the year we bought it on the box, and in some cases we have to write the year it "died". Gotta love pets and their fascination with Christmas trees!
