Your mask is beautiful and thank you for sharing your technic and design. I am having 12 ladies make them as party favors to remember on my 75th getaway at the ocean.
I love masks and corsets. Not to mention arts and crafts. I have been desiring to do my own masks because why not combining my two loves. I appreciate your knowledge and even more so you are sharing it with the world. Thanks! Exquisite talent! BRAVA!
Very cool! I found you here because I'm going to be making my own mask for a Fairytale Masquerade Ball.... Red Riding Hood.... can't wait. You're very talented and I love your work! This one especially.
I used acrylic paint because it's very rich in color even when it dries , and I also used glitter glue for the details of the mask. The mask itself is made from cardboard they sell them in Hobby Lobby or Michaels, it's easier to paint on then trying to make paint stick to plastic. And for nice glossy finish I used a gloss medium after acrylic dried. Let me know if you have any more questions , glad you like the video :-) and please send me pictures of your beautiful masks if you like, I would love to see them .
It depends on where you shop and quality of the product you get, I bought my supplies in Michaels, mask was $2.99, paint you can get as cheap as $.59, gold glitter fabric paint that I used to draw design was $1.29, gold loose glitter was $1.99 for 2 oz. and instead of soft gloss you can use regular school glue or Mod podge for $1-3
What paints did you use (please link it at the top if possible). How long were your drying times, etc. Having a party for our daughter where they will make masquerade masks, and this was so helpful, thank you!
Thank you for your show .Can I know whats name of co lour you use ? Because I have different kinds of white paper mask , it is cheaper , just USD0.3-USD0.5/piece. But I want some colour on the mask ,I found your mask is so magic and beautiful.
Hi Alexis, thank you so much for your comment ! the colors that I used are acrylic called Basics , by liquitex. And gloss acrylic soft gel finish to make it glossy and shine! I hope I answered your question.
Hi Julia , Thank you so much for your prompt reply and help . Have a question that whats material the mask and Where the acrylic soft gel can be bought ? And can use the watercolours ?
Hi Alexis, the mask is made out of very thick paper, you can buy it in Michaels or Hobby Lobby stores, Acrylic soft gel was bout in Michaels store. And I haven't tried watercolor on the mask before, but I think it can be very pretty soft coloring !
Thank you for your comment I will try and make a better quality one. Mean while if it makes any difference this video is only 18:30 , I'm not sure why it aploaded as 26 minutes 😊
I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound like a jerk I meant it as a concern for future videos but the mask is amazing and I wish I had nearly as Mich skill as you 😃😀😃😊😀😃😊😀
