Hey Macenna you should sign up for a library card at the library while you're in LA and get one in Texas too, you can borrow ebooks on the Libby app for free! Its compatible with phones and tablets and Kindle readers too. Game changer for me really. 💜

y'all could maybe trim some of the bottom branches of the tree (which could help make the tree stump more secure in the pot), and you can use the trimmed branches on the mantel as a garland!

I access books and audiobooks through my public library. They are also connected to branches in other cities in our province as well as being connected to two other platforms. One is for music, the other is for books and audiobooks. All of this is free. The only drawback is the waitlist on some popular items and the borrow time may be too short to finish the book if one is really busy.

I’ve had a kindle since 2009!! I love it and still read regular books. Both are great. With traveling it’s nice to have a selection of books or buying immediately

I read during my commute to work (on the train). A kindle is super lightweight, takes up next to no space, you can hold it with one hand, and if i finish a book on my way to work chances are i already have an another one to start on my way home. I have it in my bag every single day and i always have it if im unexpectedly stuck somewhere like in a waiting room longer than expected. I feel like its extremely practical especially if you read on the go.

I took me awhile to get accustomed to the Kindle, but now it’s so convenient. Not good for reference, but novels are great. Make sure to get a PaperWhite to read in the dark.

I love Jane Austen! If you haven’t read her books, you should. She was so witty! I have read all her books, including her unfinished book, Sandinton. Unfortunately she did not get to write too many books in her lifetime. But she was brilliant.

I used to be a person who refused to read a digital book cause I wanted a physical book to disconnect from technology, but my sister got me a kindle for Christmas a few years ago and the amount I read has almost doubled. But I also read on my phone on the kindle app with library books through Libby more often 😂

Kindles are THE best! You can download your books through the local library. I put a pop socket on the back on mine because I had trouble holding onto it when I was tired.

I bought my granddaughter "Emma" by Jane Austin, I had a hard time not buying the whole set they were so pretty.

Kindle Fire is the best for both books and watching movies, etc. I have had mine for about 8 years now and even traveled with it to Europe because it was so much easier to take in a carryon so you will not regret getting one!

I tend to fall asleep whilst reading, so I love my Kindle. It saves my place and I don't wake up with a book stuck to my face 😉

I have a Kindle Paperwhite!I like it because you can read outdoors and there is no glare, and in bed with the lights off without it being so bright... books are cheap, and you can read the first few pages before buying.... I do feel like it's a different vibe then an actual book, but I would rather spend more money on a book that means more to me... I also love how I can give books to people after I read them and I can't do that with the Kindle. Mostly enjoy the convenience of it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You can download the kindle app on any of your devices and don't have to buy a Kindle. I read a lot and used to wear them out. I have gone through about 5 of them and finally decided to just read from my phone or laptop.

A kindle is the best thing I ever got. I was always a book girl but for travelling to work on the train a kindle was more convenient. 5yrs later & just got a new one for christmas. The paperwhites are definitely better than the normal ones. Happy reading.

The two times I got a real tree I got a Norwegian Spruce. It wasn’t until the second Christmas breaking out in itchy lumps I realised I was allergic. I used to live in the middle of a pine forest as a kid so I know I’m ok with those.

You can read kindle on any laptop or ipad- no need to buy a separate unit. That is what I do when I get a kindle book. Having said that, sometimes I just want to hold the book on paper in my hand. It's so much more satisfying to me.

It’s funny for me watching your videos from Texas or hearing about the weather from Texas because I’m up in Southern Ontario (Canada) and all of our mucky weather comes from Texas 😂. So when you post a video and you have rain, I know I am going to be getting rain. When you say it’s beginning to get windy and freezing in Texas, I know a storm is coming my way. And indeed, schools have been shut down for tomorrow and all of our news has been blaring blizzard warnings. I just checked the radar and a huge wall of wet and strong winds is headed our way. One Day In December is sooooo good!! I know you already bought the book, but I have to say that the audio book was FANTASTIC! It's read by two British voice actors and it really comes alive. Either way though, it's amazing!

B+N has the Nook e-reader, kindle is amazon. I've had my nook for years, absolutely luv it but if I had to replace it I would go kindle or just a good tablet. Such a pleasure to have for night reading, not having to carry a second book if I'm close to finishing one, and sometimes I will be reading more than one at the same time. Enjoy!!!

Omg, you are hilarious! Kindle is small but I love the paper back. Also I have had my Kindle for years and I never needed the weird protection thing. I just got a cover as I do stick it in my purse. I hope you enjoy it

i don't know if this helps, buuuut i am pretty sure there is a kindle app so if you have an ipad or something you can install the kindle app on there and read your e-books. i've done that and it works perfectly for me! and then if i want to read physical books i don't feel guilty for not using my kindle. just something to consider maybe!

I’m a big reader myself and I’ve had nothing but problems with Kindle tablets. I’ve gone through 4 of these devices and 3 of them would randomly delete almost all of my books off of the device numerous times. I use the Kindle app on my iPad now and I definitely recommend doing that instead!

You know you can read books on your phone. I went thru 3 nooks before I said screw it and use my phone. I love it. No extra technology to worry about.

I inherited my mums kindle a number of years ago, it’s great for travel, mine has a lovely zip cover and books are a lot cheaper. I still love printed books and only keep the ones I love especially vintage books

I'm the same way with reading! I genuinely love my Kindle. Best investment! If I end up LOVING the book and know I'd like to sit-down and slow read it again and again, I buy the paper book for my collection. It's usually books that resonate and move me during certain times of my life. Sometimes, it's nice to go back and re read a book as memory reflection from the first time reading it. 💜 Also I buy vintage classic novels for my bookshelves. They aren't just for aesthetic! 🤓

I’ve never been this early for a video. Yaaaaay! I love the old books too. I just got some 100 plus year old German Bibles/books from a thrift shop back in September. I put them out for Halloween but have kept them out because I love them so much. Because dark academia is my vibe all the way!! I rapped some velvet ribbon around them. Put them on the mantle for Xams. The leather has gorgeous imprints. Obsessed!! Happy holidays to you, Romeo, Kinsley, mom, dad and fam!

If you end up doing the Kindle you can check out books from your library for free! And since you live in two places you should be able to have two library accounts to choose from!

Nooks are actually pretty great! I've had mine for a long time.

I LOVE my Kindle. Been using one for a long, long time. I carry it everywhere. Very easy on the eyes to read, battery lasts for a long time on one charge, pre-ordered books are delivered automatically on day of release. I can go on.

I suggest getting books from the library for the kindle if you don’t plan on rereading again.

I love my kindle and have had it for yearsss, I don’t even use a case most of the time. So good for reading on planes or in bed at night. I love books but they do feel heavy now in comparison.

You're going to love a kindle! I used to only read from physical books, but quickly learned to love the Kindle. I love that I can download new books so fast, and it fits in my purse, less bulky to carry around and read on the go!

I love my kindle especially for bed reading, you can lay on your side without needing two hands and can read in a dark room etc - I read mine most before I go to sleep and if I wake up super early but don't want to get up yet! Kindle unlimited is great too, I know it'l be post-xmas day but if you're still feeling seasonal they have great festive reads on there - Tis The Season For Revenge, Sleigh You'll Stay etc!

I use the kindle app ON my IPad. I have 2 kindles that I never use once I went to the kindle app. Also I always look on the Libby app first because it’s FREE. It’s a library app, you just need a library card number

I’m on my third Kindle because I dropped the second one. Love it. It’s portable and you always have something to read. Also if you want a book at 2 am, it’s a quick download. Books are also much cheaper and it saves trees since no printing. You will love it!

The Kids Kindle comes with a free protection plan and no ads. It is the exact same device. You can download any of the kindle books to it. Also, for your tree water: 50% water, 50% regular Sprite or 7up. It will keep the tree fresh longer.

Yes the Kindle white is great. I've had mine since they came out yrs ago never had a problem with it. (a lot more $$$) then. I get a lot of free books from Amazon also. Merry Christmas.

I did get one and I used it for about a month and now it's on the shelf. I reverted back to the actual books. I prefer to turn the actual paper pages. Good luck in your purchase.

I have those editions of the Jane Austen books (the Chiltern classics) and they are truly delightful to read lol. I put several other Chiltern classics on my xmas list as well so I can collect more pretty editions lol

Had Nook first- went through 3-4 of them in less than two years because they kept dying. My Kindle Paperwhite 7th generation is 8 years old now, I love it, and will purchase another when this one goes to that Great Digital Library in the Sky. No light needed to read it at night, which has preserved our marriage... fits in my small handbag, too. This review is not subsidized! Love that you called that tree lot a "tree farm-"- must be the LA version. The Upper Midwest version involves searching acres of snowy terrain in sub-zero temperatures while dressed in head-to-toe ski garb to avoid frostbite. :-)
