I enjoyed watching that, there's plenty of Cattle dogs (Healers ) in Australia that love to fight and would very likely just go straight into the first coyote they laid eyes on, yours are well trained.
It never ceases to amaze me when coyotes encounter another canine species in "their" neighborhood, they will defend their territory to the max all the while throwing their normally cautious nature to the wind. It didn't seem like you were all that well hidden or camouflaged but when the coyotes saw your decoy dogs they were laser focused on your dogs and didn't seem to pay that much attention to you. Thus the benefit of using decoy dogs to shift their attention. Nice display of your working dogs in action...and nice shot as well.
I'm curious...how to you even train a dog for this type of hunt? Do you look for any particular traits in dogs/pups that show potential in the pup to excel at this sort of work? Sorry for the tidal wave of probably silly sounding questions. It's just super interesting.
What is the Shepard mixed with? Someone said you have a heeler. I have a heeler but I feel like the breed is too small to go again yotes. You need a Shepard sized dog I would think
Truly love your videos with the dogs! I’ve coon hunted in hunts with amazing dogs had field trial Labradors that were awesome.. I love dog work I guess yours are awesome in what they do.. You maybe should get a Greyhound or two after you shoot a couple dogs and have them chase em down as well just a thought.. Love what u do make more videos
It never ceases to amaze me how the guy doing the shooting is on average an absolutely terrible shot. You'd think you would eventually learn how to shoot if this is your specialty
Lol, you damn goof. Coyotes hunt in packs. Are you going to tell them to come at a bare handed human one at a time for fairness? Of course not. Why? Because nature doesn't play fair and guess what? That's fine. The fact we humans surpassed the limitations of our physical forms to create tools that can take out a pack of coyotes is why we are true apex predators.
Coyotes regularly lure domestic dogs, like these, to a spot where the pack can kill them. The hunter and his dogs are using the exact same hunting tactics the coyotes use. Do they sit around while they're eating a domestic dog and think "You know... we're one in the same." Hell no. They don't. About the only thing they think is "Yum! Easy meal!" So stiffen up your lip, booboo. Withhold your tears. This isn't a case of a dude shooting a bunny rabbit at point blank range. It's dangerous predator hunting. Ever coyotes killed is a pet or child protected from them.
@@paulwest4424The "many others" animals who are saved are just saved to me killed and become meat. So, is doesn't matter at the end. Coyotes are wild animals who need to kill to survive. They are the true owners of that land, they evolved there, they hunt there, they breed and they LIVE there. Humans need to understand how to live in harmony with the wild animals, and not just killing for selfish reasons.
@@brenoaraujo1912"True owners" Lmao! They can't own what they can't defend/hold onto. With how easily a few bullets put them coyotes down, looks like humans own that land to me, booboo.
