Since you decided to repeat upper 3 this year you have grown as a Ballet dancer so much!! I think you really fell in love with Ballet as well. It's always such a pleasure for me to watch you dance in your clips because I'm such a fan of the way you approach your technique you really make it appear effortless. Your artistry seems to just come so naturally from you and I think it's from being such a success from such an early age. I can see how important you are to such influential people at ABT and I think that might take you very far. I took the train from the Chicago suburbs to downtown Chicago every day for about eight years. I danced in a small company in Evanston, IL, which meant a train to downtown, two subways to the end of one of the lines, and then an EL to the studio in Evanston. I had several different options once I arrived downtown and from Evanston to downtown, but only one train an hour, except rush hour, to get home. I had to leave Evanston by 10:15 PM at the latest to catch the 11:30 train out of Chicago. Best wishes on your auditions. Video wasn't an option 40 years ago. 🙂

Hi Rachel,I really enjoyed watching this. I would love to hear more about the audition process for joining a company. How do you decide which company/companies to audition for. Are you accepted just on the strength of your video, or do you also have to attend class and have some kind of interview? Good luck with it all. Have you seen the video of Georgy Gusev and Elizaveta Kokoreva dancing the Peasant pas de deux on You Tube? It's one of my favourites. I'm sure you'll dance it beautifully.

It has been challenging for our parents sometimes. Thankfully, we have had studio owners give us discounts along the way and that helped!

The probiotic powder I use is from pure encapsulations. My favorite way to get probiotics is through fermented foods like sourdough bread, sauerkraut, olives, and pickles.
