Good Job darling! You got all that done in one day! I am helping my niece clean and organize her kids room which has 4 kids in one room. I was over there two days and still not done. Kudos for getting rid of so much stuff and donating. I would go through my son room every summer with him to get rid of stuff. He is a grown adult now.
I had a little box with a few toys for when my grandkids came over. Most of it was junk. They would play with that stuff for hours! Kids really don't need much. That goes with everything. Clothes, shoes, etc
I’m just now coming across your video but I have to say, you just being brave enough to share makes moms like me feel SO much better because I constantly feel like I’m the only mom with a kids room that looks like this😭 thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing, I’m working on my kiddos room today👏🏻❤️❤️
Since you emptied the toy box, and were going to remove it, I’d suggest taking the cubbies out of the closet so they can use the hanging space. Put the cubbies where the toy box was.
Yes! I moved it and put the girls doll house there! And I will be removing the cubbies in the closet for that very reason! Thank you for the suggestions ☺️💗
Don't ever apologize for having a messy kids room. My kids bedrooms are worse than that. I have a system I'm doing and it works. Have a garage can in there bedroom ,laundry basket and tote. The tote is for there toys so when they are done playing with it they can put it in there. Or put it back where it goes if they don't wanna put it in a tote. Have them help you even if they are in your way. Give them a garage bag have them put up all the trash first. Laundry basket for clothes and totes for toys. Then have them wash there clothes and put the toys from the totes to where they belong. After doing this ,a few times it will be easier for you. I have a 12 yr old boy and 9 yr old girl. Trust me. It's hard and you wanna yell and scream. I have done it all. But this works. Make them help you. Make them wash there clothes. They will be cleaner and less messy. Because it would be more work for them to do. Your a GREAT Mama. You got this. God bless
I just went through my kids rooms and playroom today. I try to get a garbage bag full each time. My husband just said I should throw all the toys away except my 3 year olds😂
They never want to pick up their toys when they’re done playing! They have specific toys they play with and the rest went bye bye 🤣🤣 I can’t deal with the mess! & so far they’ve done a great job keeping their room clean 🧽
Hi Dominique. Don’t ever self guilt yourself. I remember when my kids room looked this way. I can from nothing and suddenly they could have whatever they wanted. !!! I was shocked that I had to learn to deal with having things. I got rid of a lot of things but even now, years later, I still struggle. What keeps me sane is flylady. I have been doing her system for years and even now when I get “lost” I turn to her system. It’s structured and that is when I needed. I’m sending you a virtual hug.

My cage are 4 and 5. I want to get rid of the toddler beds Do you recommend bed? Do you have a mattress protector or cover on those mattresses?
Hi Vanessa! I have yet to find a mattress cover that I recommend. He has ripped all of them so it kinda defeats the purpose 😅 I get my kids beds from ikea and mattresses I get off Amazon they are memory foam!
