Bringing back some memories for me. My nana had a K reg one in a soft green. She used to pick me up from primary school on a Tuesday and give me a Milky Way or Fudge. She passed away a few years ago, it's brought back some happy feelings, thank you!
I really enjoy your videos. None of the bullshit "I'm a youtuber shit" just pure car valeting at its core. The editing is great, the commentary is great. I really look forward to every video that you put!! Keep up the great work.
What a trip down memory lane, one of the first cars I ever owned. You totally transformed it, what a satisfying video. Great work, you truly are a wizard. 👍🏻
I watch the detail geek, AMMO, whites, pretty much all of the detailing channels and they are all superb. But your videos win hands down. You make these cars look a hundred times better and so down to earth. Awesome content. Keep up the great work 👍 👏
@@everydaydetailing6449 I started watching last year and then no more videos for about 9 months. I won't lie, I was distraught lol. Keep the content comin👌👍
I've watched pretty much all of your videos, but this one takes the cake for me. It's so similar to my own early 90's hatchback that it warms my heart! I'm sure the new owners are going to have years of worry-free motoring in a swell looking retro machine thanks to this transformation :) I'm going to look into Concept's Vista myself, I hope it's a retail product as my largest struggle so far has been reviving the plastics. Thanks for the tips and the work you put into keeping this Polo on the road while looking as fresh as it can 👍
What a fantastic transformation, I would say that this car is now a modern classic and I would be very happy to own it. Looking forward to the next one already 👍👍👍👍👍
I love it when a time capsule car gets brought back round, the Polo looks great! Hopefully the new owner treats this old dear well.. and sprays some satin black on the valve cover and air cleaner housing.
Another goodie thank you, the Polo bread van.. it's simple and does exactly what it says on the tin...when the motoring public finally comes to their senses.. they will crave a Polo... I own a 1.4 16v 6N and live inland Spain ..it's tiny on the outside but actually larger than Audi A1 on the inside. .the spec is amazing..full leather , sport auto box...it's an amazing little car ..SUV...really..why ?. Great channel thank you 👍
Although i have a deep filled hatred of these "Breadvan" Polos , it was great watching you breath new life into something thats now considered Retro. Ive neglected my 1990 AE92 to the point that its once shiny red paint is now pink and chalky in places, this video just spurs me on to get outside and get it back to its former glory. cheers.
I had a polo GT on a J reg back years ago, they tend to suffer when exposed to moisture under the bonnet, glad your covered the distributor up! This example is in excellent condition for its age
Well you never cease to amaze sir ..this 20 years old polo looked ready for the knackers yard😉then it comes into your possession & lo & behold it's been transformed into a very very respected 🚗 car & your video is so good to watch i take my hat off to ya!!🤠keep up the great work 👍
This is great to watch as I am driving a different type of that model from the same year (the coupe version in red) I got it as a type of inheritance from my grandpa and it was such a great experience repairing some parts and cleaning the whole thing, touching up the plastic and all to make it look great again. These videos always seem to make it easy but if you are new to this (and prob after as well) it’s a lot of sweaty work 😂 But seeing the result it’s worth every time ❤️
This must be the equilivent of the VW Fox that we got here in the U.S. It looks very nice to be a 90's VW, especially after he's worked his magic on it.
that's in great condition considering how old it is. i had a formel E of these polo's. loved it. we had it from new. an A reg when they first come out. in a lighter blue than this. it had the round lights at the front.. then we had a 'Ranger' with twin headlights. wished i still had the first one. always reliable. love to see how people like you bring them back to a lovely shiny example. thanks. 😃
Very very nice video Missing the Product info used a bit but it's fine don't worry Sourced koch chemie here in Germany and looking forward to try a bit of green star and cockpit dressing on my own Have a nice weekend
I found your channel by accident just over a year or so ago. I was looking for car detailing channels as I’d just taken it up as a hobby. What I really enjoy is the narrative over the video. Many over sensationalise the state of the car. You keep it sensible. I also like the introduction of the products that you use. Gives me a few tips on what I can add to mine. Keep doing what your doing, it works very well.
Brilliant video, nice to see something older, and you’ve done a brilliant job. I would love to paint that rocker cover, air filter box and exhaust heat shield
One of the best old skool cars ever , what a transformation, a complete little gem . Hats off to you sir , i enjoy watching all your videos . I can't wait for the next one 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏💙💙
Another great vid! It's fantastic to have you back. That Polo looks well able to keep on going and keeping it clean and roadworthy will do far more for the environment than buying any electric car would do!
Used to sell these in the 90s. They were an ancient design, how they struggled on until 1994 when the 6J Polo came out I don't know. They were made in Spain at Pamplona.
Regarding the drain on the fuel flap, my A6 diesel one regularly gets clogged. I have a set of small pipe cleaner brushes and push one down when it gets clogged.
I’d love that car! My first car was going to buy one of these but bought a fiat panda 4X4 instead. Which I subsequently rolled due to its high skinny tires and high sentry of gravity! Should’ve bought the polo!!!
The handling wasn't THAT much better (I had the Polo and a friend had a 2WD Panda... which just edged me out when raced the one time XD ), but the slightly lower ride height and front ARB means it has more of a tendency towards 180 degree snap oversteer than grip-rolling... pays your money and takes your choice!
