Deep Cleaning Our Filthy Beechcraft Bonanza F33A! (Looks New Again) 

Those aircraft are Canadair CL-415. They were flown in the other day for assistance with the firefighting around the valley. The high engine is very useful for when the aircraft touches down to pick up water it doesn't get it flooded. Beautiful noisy planes though 😂. (Btw saw Owen do a low flyby in the bonanza and didn't know it was your plane 😂) Love the vids, keep it up 👍

I understand the passion for sure. I have a 36 yr old R.R. and my neighbors laugh (politely 😃) because they tell me that I spend much more time polishing and cleaning way more than driving her. For me it's just as much fun. Gorgeous aircraft and would love to own,fly and polish her.😉💖

clean can save your life. if engine compartment or other spaces are filthy you may not spot a new leak until it's too late

Those amphibians are Aeroflite Bombardier CL-215-6B11 (CL-415) - a turbo-prop upgrade of the original CL-215. Aeroflite operates the only four on the US register N385AC, N386AC, N389AC and N392AC

I live two miles south of your hangar. It's part of our warm and dry weather culture to have OCD when it comes to cleaning. Looks great and I would enjoy a day filled just the same.

You should try using foam booster in the foam cannons!👍🏼Makes the foam stick better and therefore work better, and it’s so satisfying!!😍

Engine cleaning is a requirement of the annual inspection. You guys should get an ABS(American Bonanza Society) Clinic inspection of the plane and get the important stuff checked by Bonanza specialists. Landing gear rigging is very important, and if the limit switches, uplock/downlock tensions are not in spec, you could have a very expensive "oops."

Great job!!! You just saved yourself $1000 bucks!!! I love keeping my plane spotless too, I break it up into 3 to 4 two hour days to make it easier and more detailed….good job!!!

I Love my Beechcraft, I started working on them as a shop detailer cleaning them for our maintenance shop then getting my A&P license and have been working on Beechcraft for 29+yrs, with good maintenance you should have a trouble free airplane, just a tip, go to Sporty's pilot shop online and get yourself an aircraft wash brush and buy some aircraft soap and some good degreaser from them, t j.g at will cut your cleaning time down a lot believe me!!!

Wash at sun up and sun rise! Here in Texas and over there in Arizona it’s so much easier!

Just a word of advice, after you open the cowl, close the latches. The first time you come up and gouge your head you will thank me! Lol

Would really like to see some of the products you were using... like the little spray washer (brand?). In the process of buying an older Bonanza that isn't near as clean as yours, but I plan on doing some work to clean it up.

Canso Waterbombers its generic name known in the US as Superscooper-415.. This turboprop version built by Canadair/Bombardier in Canada. Originally the Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina a WW2 designed flying boat primarily used as sub hunters and cargo/passenger movers in the European and Pacific theaters by the USN, RAF and RCAF. Of 3800 built 620 were built by Vickers Canada. Post war it had various uses airial mapping, cargo, people haulers and eventually fire fighting water bombers. The water bombers load up by skiming accross a lake under full power. As someone who had to endure 2 hour rides in the piston engine passenger variant in Labrador in the 1970's these planes were teeth rattling noisy. Later versions had engine and airframe upgrades the latest being the Canadair -515 Viking Turbo Prop as Viking acquired the Canadair/Bombardier amphibious aicraft division.

Please don’t power wash aircraft and if you do make sure you fly the aircraft to dry out all the moisture you now have introduced to the airframe!

I recommend being EXTREMELY selective when choosing a cleaner to touch your glass. That plexiglass will craze if you put the wrong chemical on it. I don’t think I’d use a foam on my Bonanza.

What was wrong with the old seat fabric. It was customized by all those butts sitting on it. It had custom dirt patterns. Everything you could want in a custom interior! Lets not forget the custom scenting as well! Great job on the plane fantastic work. Did you spray the generic scrubbing bubbles inside the engine?

WD40 Does a fantastic job for cleaning oil off of the underbody of planes! Saves a ton of time in cleaning

Interior is defo the biggest difference. Like yachts, it's mostly the interior that ages. I hope you do white seats. Not terribly practical but looks money. Changing the exterior stripes to metallic grey might also do wonders. Lightening the plane 500kg would be good too. Doubling the glide ratio. Tripling the climb rate. Direct injection engine :) I am a little bit a bonanza hater, it's a roomy plane, goes half decent speed but in about 20 years it's a 100 year old design. Just on shear principle that's not ok. Imagine a 1944 car vs a Tesla Model S plaid. Yet in GA there has been no progress. Imagine a 77 year old car model that was still produced today unironically and without nostalgia and they wanted a cool million for it. And pretended it was state of the art.

Keep that underbelly real clean the exhaust will corode those rivets there a great plane to fly enjoy

Why wouldn't you wash the outside last?

Needs ceramic coating. It will allow you to wash off the plane in the future. The plane will fly faster too!
