Argh I didn't know about Benebell's deck until your video! Sold out yes by the point you made your review...but i found a comment on her blog:she mentions she has begun the process of actually coloring her files, so I imagine a color version coming soon, perhaps mass market given her past association with US games? Who knows. In the mean time I might set to work using the Major arcana that she so kindly is providing on her site for us to color along with at home. If you missed out, the link to her Majors and a guide book is available freely on her site. Tom again thanks for your insightful videos. I haven't been around much lately but as always, another wonderful video from you. Hope things turn around for you mister and you can break out of the rut you mentioned you've been dealing with.
I'm actually kind of glad the deck won't arrive for a bit. It gives me time to really dig into the book and self initiation. I am totally in awe. I mean, how is it possible she was tweeting June 12th about crafting a deck and October 19th (of the same year, mind you) it's sold out of 1000 copies which are already printed and stateside and, oh yeah, there's also a 400 plus page (genius is the word, you nailed it!) book and a freaking coloring book with text for children? Like, what? There must be a chapter about manipilating time I haven't reached yet. If I hadn't seen the woman in the flesh, I don't think you could convince me she is a mortal. Benebell is amazing and we are lucky as a community to have someone with her particular gifts and experience, not to mention she is legit cool and sweet. Great video as always, I'm glad she picked you for an early review copy. The stone is a super cool addition, too. My LuLu copy of Book of Maps is on the way and finally got it transferred onto kindle this evening. So what am i doing on RU-vid? 😏
Love your approach for this video. It gives people a greater understanding of her method and purpose for the deck. I am all about it, as it was the study of esoteric that brought me to Tarot. I've started reading the ebook and the deck setup does seem very important with this deck, with the exception of the Court cards I've come across much of the same or similar methods in older or more esoteric type tarot books and, I believe, Crowley writes about the Holy Guardian Angel. He as well believed each card to be a living being/energy.

I've seen several walk-throughs so I appreciated that you gave more air-time to the system, book, etc. I just got my physical copy of The Book of Maps yesterday and already started chewing on it. There's SO much there even in the first few pages... it's pretty incredible.
Oh my! This is a very deep rabbit hole! But I would expect nothing less from her. Truly an inspiring deck; I hope that I can track down a copy of the book.
Thanks for your thoughts. I like your emphasis here with the book of maps because the others focused on the cards. I’m honestly more curious about the book and the video course she’s going to make. Sadly, I couldn’t get it at this time because of high shipping costs and a lack of money. Hoping she does a second run! :)
All my Benebell books, have sticky notes, extra cards, bits of paper....so many ways to mark passages, that I need to read over or that my brain was unable to absorb, so I'll come back to it...she put that chapter about working with Crowley and Waite on her blog - I LOVE that she did all the ritual stuff, communing with the primordial soup...I found it delicious as an avid consumer of all things magically tarot...and we must shuffle, we shuffle therefore we are.
I made the mistake of buying Holistic Tarot as an e-book (instant gratification) and I really regret it. Someday I'll break down and buy it again as a paper copy.
Thank you for the deep dive! You're right; she really did create her own system with the deck and personally, I adore those kinds of decks the most since that's how I approach my own "salad" spirituality (filtering and combining varied known systems through my own lens of experience to create a personal fusion of belief). Please keep us updated on how your experiences in working with it evolve!
If i had know it had all that amazingness going on in it i would have ordered it when i got her email. I has no idea it would sell out in a blink of an eye.
Such an incredible deck and book. It is for that reason that I didn‘t buy it. I couldn‘t do it justice at the moment. (And that’s perfectly ok.) But I am enjoying watching all the videos now. Thank you for this one.
I totally get it Elena, I've been waiting to get the Astrology course, for when I could really pay attention, I haven't gotten Tarot of the Holy Light, because it needs so much of my brain to get into...sigh. But this, I absolutely knew it would be gone in a blink...(I think there will be a second release too, patience is key)
Just figured I'd mention it since I don't see it said anywhere, but Benebell has a preorder for the second version currently! The preorders are going on till march 20th, 2019. :)
Hopefully she'll reprint it at some point. But I totally agree that respect to the author is so important, nothing worse than bullying. In a way I'm glad that it's sold out, as I don't have the funds for it anyway, but it's good to see the cards! Beautiful!
