The Creation of the Universe: Allah the Exalted said: Have not those who disbelieved seen that heaven and earth were one solid mass, whereupon We divided them and made all living things of water? Don't you want to believe? (Translation of Sura 21 Verse 30) This verse explicitly mentions the common origin of the entire universe, a fact that was only discovered about forty years ago with the help of "nuclear physics". The separation mentioned in the verse seems to refer to what scientists today refer to as the "Big Bang." Also, as the verse also mentions, all living things are made up of protoplasm, which is 80 to 85 percent water. Allah the Exalted said: Thereupon Allah turned to the sky which was (then) of (formless) smoke (or mist) and said to it and to the earth: "Come here, willingly or unwillingly!" They said: "We come voluntarily". So He (Allah) completed them as seven heavens in two times, and in each heaven He assigned its task. And We adorned the lowest heaven with lights (stars) (which are also) for protection. This is the creation of the Supreme, the All-Knowing. (Translation of Sura 41 Verse 11-12) At the time the Qur'an was revealed, the word "space" was unknown and everything above the earth was called "heaven". The word "smoke" aptly describes the primordial state of the universe, which consisted of hot, gaseous matter whose gaseous particles moved like clouds of smoke. From this matter the stars, the planets and the earth were formed. Allah the Exalted said: We have created the sky (the universe) with (Our) power, and see how We are (constantly) expanding it! (Translation of Sura 51 Verse 48) It is now a generally accepted fact that we live in an expanding universe. Allah the Exalted said: Allah is the Creator of the heavens and the earth! When He decides something, He only says, "Be!" and it is. (Translation of Sura 2 Verse 117) Allah only has to "Be!" speak to trigger an explosion (big bang). Aside from that: Black holes are characterized by three properties: 1. You are invisible 2. They pass at very high speed 3. They attract everything to themselves. It's like sweeping the sky Black holes are called "giant cosmic sweepers or vacuum cleaners" in science. Allah the Exalted said: “No! I swear by alkhunas (the unseen stars), algawar (the ones leading) Alkunas (the sweeping). (Translation of sura 81 verse 15-16) Pulsars are rotating neutron stars. Allah says in the Qur'an: By heaven and by the one who throbs (or knocks)! And what makes you know what the throbbing is? (It is) the piercing bright star. (Sura 86 verse 1-3) "Tarek الطَّارِقُ" means the one who knocks. The Arabic word "Thukb ثقب" means a hole; "Thakeb ثَّاقِبُ" means the one who makes a hole. The Qur'an describes a knocking star making a hole. Pulsars are rotating neutron stars (it rotates 30x per second!). As more matter falls into a neutron star, its mass increases, and as its mass increases, its gravity increases. But gravity is warping of space-time. A neutron star distorts space-time. The more matter falls into a neutron star, the more distortion it causes. A point is reached where the distortion would have grown so much that it caused a hole in space-time. How could an illiterate (meaning Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him) who lived 1400 years ago know that pulsars bore holes in space-time? That can only have been inspired by God, the omniscient. Supernova and Iron: One of the most important consequences of supernova explosions is that heavy elements, including iron, are thrown into the interstellar medium. Allah says in the Qur'an: And We sent down the iron. In it is strong power and benefit for the people. (Sura 57 verse 25) The use of the word "sent down" is very interesting. A look at the modern astronomical books that deal with the formation of galaxies and stars will give us a better understanding of the "let down" translation. Iron alloys were already used in ancient times, but only from meteorites, which often contain the alloy iron-nickel (Fe-Ni). Since meteorites were rarely found, items made of iron were correspondingly valuable. The Sumerians called it "heavenly metal", the Egyptians "black copper from heaven". The iron is of a strange composition. The electrons and neutrons in its atom require four times the energy potential of our solar system to be brought together. In other words, our solar system does not have sufficient structure to produce iron. Where did the iron come from then, which is found in our earth? The scientists explained this phenomenon by saying that the heavy metals in the Universe are produced in the cores of giant stars. When the iron count exceeds a certain limit, the star can no longer carry the iron and eventually explodes (this explosion is described as a "nova" or "supernova"). As a result of this explosion, meteorites containing iron are formed and scattered. They fly around the universe until they are attracted by a planet's gravitational pull. The same thing happened to the earth tens of thousands of years ago when meteorites penetrated deep into the earth's surface and which are now known as ferrous metal! In summary, supernova explosions are violent deaths of massive stars. The course of these gigantic explosions and their far-reaching consequences are very interesting. They are the only source of iron and other heavy metals in our solar system. They show the mercy of God, because without them life on earth would not be possible. At the same time, they can be seen as an incredible demonstration of divine power. As the Holy Quran says at the end of the verse where iron is mentioned: Surely Allah is the Mighty, the Glorious with irresistible power. (Sura 57 verse 25)

When I was a child, my concept of the universe was that of several galaxies. There were still books that looked at the solar system as the cosmos. Things beyond the Kuiper Belt were just too far away to matter. And then the Hubble Telescope was deployed. Suddenly the old framework we'd known was shattered and the universe became incomprehensibly huge. But there are still billions of human beings who can barely think beyond their backward little county line or the edges of their province. Myopia reigns.

Is it really that hard to come to this kind of realisation? Chill and live and let live.

As one sits here and watches this absolutely breath-taking project, one has no other choice but to smile ruefully and with great sadness when one thinks about how incredible insignificant and ridiculously small we all truly are. Especially with our perceived slights, inconveniences and overall general lack of compassion for one another that is so prevalent in today's society. In the grand scheme of things, which this video is the absolute embodiment of, our notions of "who is right, who is wrong" and "I am better than others" really are of incalculable unimportance. Thank you, infinitely many times over, to the creators of this magnificent work. Watching this was truly a humbling experience and it really puts humanity and all of it's "issues" into sharp perspective. Well done!!!

Could you imagine how much knowledge we could gain if every country, instead of bickering among each other, worked on a scientific endeavor to be compiled in a worldwide database. So much has gone to waste...time, resources, lives. But it's only human nature, I suppose. Perhaps this is our true purpose, to set aside our differences and survive our own extinction, which only comes closer to inevitability as time passes.

A finely fashioned work of art surely necessitates an artist. The Maker of the world possesses infinite beauty and perfection.Since things exist and they are full of art, they surely have a Maker. (The Twenty-Sixth Word) "We are the art of One Who can make this entire world of ours as easily and simply as He created us." (The Twenty-Second Word) In relation to His power, creation of the biggest is as easy as creation of the smallest. The small is as artistic as the large; indeed, artistically, some small creations are even greater than the large. The utmost high degree of artistry visible in every creation manifests that they are the tapestry-work of an infinitely wise, all-knowing Maker. Man passes from the work to the producer of the work and he sees that an All-Beauteous Maker wants to make himself known and acquainted through the miracles of His own art, and he responds with knowledge and belief. (The Twenty-Third Word) The Maker of this world has, then, most important, astounding and secret perfections. It is these He wishes to display by means of His miraculous arts. (The Tenth Word) Among beings there is no work which is not a most meaningful embodied word and does not cause to be read numerous of the Glorious Maker's Names.

To be arrogant enough to think we truly know, understand or even possibly could predict the size, age or end of it's existence even further proves our ignorance. Just looking at what we think we see, how could we ever imagine that Space is finite in any degree. It is truly a world without end. Its wonderful, magical and so very beautiful. Thank you.

(The Seventeenth Word) There is not a plant or animal created before our eyes in the spring that through its wondrous art, its subtle adornment, its being distinguished from all other creatures, and through its order and balance, it makes you known. While we are an insignificant grain for the scales of the universe or multiverses, each person, animal or being that lives, has lived or will live on this tiny Earth are unique beings, a miracle of life, that come from the stars. We are everything and nothing at the same time. This is the eternal paradox of life, and this amazing video pictured this with perfection.

This is the Earth's message to the universe. This is humanity talking to the infinite, to all galaxies, to all stars, to all planets, to all living creatures. This is us, made of star dust, singing together to our mother: the universe.

I think you're over-glorifying what it is. Whatever it may be, it's insane and there should be no no reason for something like this to exist. It's terrifying and the existence or absence of a god are both scary.

@@JulianLuckeeSouth I'm not trying to apply reason to anything. I'm not even sure what you're getting at here. What are you trying to convey here? That there might be reason and me saying there can't be any is arrogance? Because it's not, it's objective truth. Now, me claiming you're full of shit; that could be considered arrogance.

I cannot find the proper words to express just how deeply awestruck I feel from witnessing these images. An awakening of the heart and mind, reverence for my true self. The feeling of vast emptiness and yet perfect balance as the cosmos meld together. Everything in harmony despite the chaos of the celestial planes...

What an awe-inspiring title, "Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of our Universe"! The universe is indeed a marvel of mysteries and magnitudes beyond our imagination. Thinking about the vastness of space, the countless stars, galaxies, and possibly even parallel universes is absolutely mind-boggling. It's incredible to ponder how every discovery in astronomy brings us one step closer to understanding our place in this grand cosmos. The universe is a never-ending source of wonder and curiosity, always reminding us that there's so much more to explore and learn. 🌌✨

"You have to really kind of think about our own existence here in the universe," he said. "You realize that people often say, 'I hope to go to heaven when I die.' In reality, if you think about it, you go to heaven when you're born." "You arrive on a planet that has the proper mass, has the gravity to contain water and an atmosphere, which are the very essentials for life," he said. "And you arrive on this planet that's orbiting a star just at the right distance - not too far to be too cold, or too close to be too hot - and just at the right distance to absorb that star's energy and then, with that energy, cause life to evolve here in the first place." "In reality, you know, God has really given us a stage, just looking at where we were around the moon, a stage on which we perform. And how that play turns out is up to us, I guess," Jim Lovell
