Doug, those grill gloves are for barbecuing but not protecting your hands from hot oil spillage! Those blue gloves are the go to for deep hot oil fryers...
Doug just curious most just dip flour . you dip flour then egg then flour . reason ? also I bit at the screen that chicken looked real good lol also some say chicken between 300 to 325 . what do u think ? you used 350 is there a difference the temp. when making chicken how it affects outcome
Make sure to take it out of the box and test it asap. Bought one from Walmart this year. Broken out of the box. Would not turn on. Likely the completely unneeded safety switch is defective. Spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to troubleshoot it. Everything in the area closed for Thanksgiving so no exchange possible and had to put it in the oven. Thanks Masterbuilt.
How long does it take to heat up the oil when you're using it at the min setting? I saw another review that said it took 45 minutes to heat up to fry a turkey. Also is this the big XXL unit or the smaller one?
I layer the bottom with chicken parts and cook about 9 pieces at a time, all thighs, because I like thighs. You can actually cook 2 whole chickens at a time or 3 as long as they will fit, one 15 lb turkey is huge and it cooks "whole"
In my opinion, you made a beautiful fried chicken. The only drawback is reusing oil. Any oil heated, chemically produces carcinogenic properties. It’s very unhealthy.
BS, you can reuse peanut oil over and over because it has a high flash point, NO carcinogens in the old oil, lol, too funny, He aint cooking with car motor oil, lmaooooooooooo
