I am a Physics PhD student and I can definitely say that this is bullshit. There is absolutely no logic in what he is saying. After talking with few of my Geology friends, I found out that GSI has a record of water levels in several regions and the best way to guess how deep you need to dig for the water would be to talk with neighbours to see how deep their borewells are. Everything else is piece of shit.
In my village I brought some hydrogeologist to find out water source..none of the points marked by them fetched water..after that we tried at a point shown by 80yr old grandmother..to our surprise, we got water around 400ft..
