Happy Halloween Rollers! For those of you who have played before, let me know in the comments below whether you think we should use the Prepared Team variant or try without it! Cheers! For corrections, click 'Read More'. 4:46 The 3D terrain in place is for locked hatches. Don't worry I catch and correct his during the video. 5:49 The rulebook states, "Shuffle all the devoured effect markers. Randomly reveal and place a devoured effect marker in each of the spaces of all the devoured rooms, except for the spaces that already contain the spawn markers". So first I needed to place spawn markers (red side up) as indicated in the scenario book. Then follow the quote from the rulebook above. This is easily corrected for the next video! Thanks to Mythos for pointing this out!
Ahh yes, I keep finding myself coming back to this vid. Deep Madness was my first ever Kickstarter backed (first printing back in 2016), such a shame I barely get it to the table, when setup takes 30 minutes but you can lose in less time than that it's hard to justify setting it up! Thankfully the game allows for discrete difficulty tweaking without losing flavor!
Fore sur if I loose in minus than 30 min I restart a new game :D . That's said during the 2 nd print the author gave 2 rules to set difficulty in the profundum rules available as pdf and one buff for the 1st scenario. 1)No devour token 2) 3 actions instead of 3
Let's go Adam! Spread out the madness. Very nice intro and outro 👍 Glad to see you picking up some suggestions and do something different with your playthrough. Looking forward to your playthrough and that epic monster, causing destruction to the investigators ;) Even if I've not played the game yet, I would suggest playing with the more Prepared Team variant. Have fun and...good luck
Thanks Bibo! Hope it spices things up. I think at this point it’s a given that I’m going to use the prepared team variant. I’ve only gotten feedback that says to go for it. See you there!
An epic monster? You're either very brave or very fool my friend 😉 Edit: play the ultra prepared team variant and take all syringes for your team (I think this is an actual suggestion on bgg) 🤔
Great intro Adam. I think you should balance it, I've been really excited to watch this one and I don't want it to be over too soon lol. Out of interest would that setup fit on a 4 x 4 foot table? Happy Halloween, let the madness begin!
Handy tip. Separate the 3 sections of the lower submerged map section it just makes it easier to see that they are not connected to each other. Looks like you never got the painted minis i sent to you. Maybe they got lost in the post lol.
Bit of a mistake in the set up Adam. The spawn points stay face down as they are only indications of where the monsters will appear . Face up devoured tokens are placed in the other rooms on a devoured tile that doesnt already contain a spawn point.
Good catch Mythos! You're right, the rulebook states "Shuffle all the devoured effect markers. Randomly reveal and place a devoured effect marker in each of the spaces of all the devoured rooms, except for the spaces that already contain the spawn markers". Something I can correct before the next Part! Cheers :)
Sounds good. Thanks for the feedback. I think being prepared would give us a tiny boost which may be needed. Even with that the scales are tipped against us!
Its me again Adam ( I think this is the most I have commented on a video ever lol) , it might be easier for us to see what's going on if you use the 3D spawn markers.
SR! I will certainly have the playthrough underway during the Kickstarter campaign. Still 20 days to go! Hopefully it will help in your decision. Cheers!
@@RollingSolo Yeah I am on the fence too, it's definitely something my brother and I are looking at, but we like games that has a lot of mechanical depth and brutal. From what I hear the difficulty factor is there, but interested to watch the playthroughs to see if it fills the rest of the criteria. Cheers Adam.
I have played some 15+ solo games by now. But I always play with a full team of 6 heroes. So it is going to be interesting to see how the dynamics hold up with only 4 heroes. I have not tried any of the epic monsters yet. So it is also going to be interesting to see how they affect the game. But I think you are going to be butchered prematurely, or run out of time...
