Tbh, I only read the first could messages and then scanned. It’s late. But I’m so glad you got back.. I’m struggling with that too. Feeling “far from God”. I feel like I’ve only had glimpses of him since I was like 14-15. I was raised in the church, and for the past 14 years, I’ve been a worship drummer. Now I play at 3 churches. And it’s so hard to feel connected.. I’m so jealous of people that are actually feeling the connection and feel like God heard them. I know He does, but why does he feel so far? I’ve never turned my back… why is it so hard to connect? I feel like my prayers hit the ceiling and freefall.. I know one day I’ll figure it out and look back and see Gods work all over everything, but man. I’m 28, as stressed as I’ve ever been, and I just don’t know what to do about it anymore. Sorry, that got out of hand. Lol. I’ve never said that before.

@@den.james1hey! Thank you for your vulnerability. That’s the beautiful thing about believers ; we are joined by our mutual love for Jesus, no criticism, no judgments. I totally relate with what you shared above. Let me share something that would help; Go on a retreat . Stop the activity . Pause the motions . Retreat for a few days .. go away to a quiet place (cabin, hotel, air bnb) or your house (if you stay alone), keep away social media, reduce use of your phone & seek the Father. the only activity you will do is to sit at God’s feet.. Worship , Pray , Call out to him. Invite the Holy Spirit to reveal the father’s heart…Look for worship playlist songs about the glory of God (Terry Malcalmon) , about his love, nature (Reckless love by Ashbury Cory, Yeshua by WorshipMob, Your presence is enough by Rick Pino). Just lay at his feet, become a child again & sing to your Father, ask for nothing but HIS PRESENCE… SURRENDER ♥️ … Take some Christian books along (e.g How to Hear from God by Joyce Meyers, Hosting the Presence by Bill Johnson, Good morning Holy Spirit by Benny Hinn) . Be vulnerable with God. Voice out your fears/pain/concerns loud. .. just BE with your father in heaven . Don’t ask for material things … Just focus on spending TIME with your maker. You may not see any supernatural extraordinary manifestation (e.g bright light, thunder , angels etc) right there but trust me You will feel refreshed, you will feel connected. You will feel peace, You will fall in love with God again. Make it a frequent exercise as much as your schedule allows you; once a month or bi-monthly or every quarter. Of course don’t forget your daily communion/communication with the Holy Spirit; he is your link/connection to GOD. He brings the word of God to life. please meditate on Romans 8, 1 John 4 till it comes alive in your spirit. Don’t ever forget to invite the Holy Spirit to help you understand scripture. Baby steps! Start small. Be expectant .
