Great choice Rebeka Made in Japan has to be the best live album ever Gillan had such a powerful voice Paice Glover Blackmore & Lord RIP Phenomenal band🎶🎵
At the time this was recorded, Blackmore and Gillian weren't talking to each other, they wouldn't even be at the sound check together. Despite this they made one of the best live albums ever made. There wasn't any overdubs on the album, it's all live. Great reaction by the way.
I've always said this is the definitive version of this song. It's from the same Japanese concerts that gave us Made In Japan, but not included in that masterpiece. It surfaced on a 'rare and live' release in the late 70's, and remastered on the 25th Anniversary Edition of MIJ. There was no video from the Japan shows, so the video here from Copenhagen 1972 was added.
This is probably the best or at least my favourite version of Black Night. It was about mid 70's when heard this from 24 Carat Purple album. Absolutely fantastic. It's a great that you youngsters are found Deep Purple as well.
They are by far the best heavy metal band in the world, I am 61 gorgeous and my first album was made in Japan, they were tbe only heavy metal band for a long time to be invited to play live with the London philharmonic orchestra
Deep Purple siempre o casi siempre en vivo es su autentica y verdadera dimensión, la energía y la facilidad para llegar a un "climax" que transmiten es increible..., la mejor banda de hard rock de la historia junto con Rainbow. Saludos
That brought back memories I saw them perform that live in 1972. One I think you would like would be Deep Purple rehearsal session 2 No No No for German Tv 1971. Ian Gillian throws some comedy in to this song. Excellent filming of this. Close ups in color of the band members. Thumbs up on your reaction.
Purple had so much respect for thier Japanese fans that they wrote My Woman from Tokyo which is a great track . My neighbour who is in his late 60s was at one of these concerts , he was studying Japanese at the time and now lectures in modern languages , his wife is Japanese . He is still a cool guy and rides a big Harley . It’s even more amazing that this was 1972 only 27 years after US dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki . Whilst in the US I visited the Wright Patterson Air Force museum and on display at the time was Bockscar the B29 which dropped the atom bomb on Nagasaki , you were allowed on board and could sit in the pilots seat which I did , it was a bit weird sitting in something which killed 39,000 plus people in a few seconds . Back to the music Made in Japan was a great live album , as others have said one of the best , I play the remastered version through a 200 watt hi fi amp with large floor standing speakers to give concert levels of volume and bass us old boys know how to have fun. Of the Album Child in Time is amazing and Lucille where Ian Paice let’s rip,on the drums . A really good tribute band is Strange Kind of Women , lots of great footage on RU-vid of their live gigs
Love it !!! Ritchie Blackmore is so good live. He is beastly GOAT. Keeping with the Deep Purple theme, It's been awhile since you did some Rainbow. "Mistreated" or "Catch the Rainbow" from the 1977 live Munich concert are great songs to check out. Plus the song "Stargazer" is a must.
Hi Rebeka . I urge you to review this whole album. It's Deep Purple's live double album titled Made in Japan. One of the best 2 or 3 live rock albums ever.
Everyone talks about Led Zeppelin as the greatest rock band of all time, But Deep Purple was also the greatest Rock Band of all time too!! "In your face" rock music.
We used to play Black Night.. the riffs are not that hard to play.. but I’m not or daring to put my skill level anywhere near Blackmores.. but it was a fun song to do a solo to .. personally it’s my favourite.. but I’m a huge DP fan.. I love your reactions keep it up.
Many iconic riffs are easy to play. The reverence comes from the tune being written in the first place and the way the original artists performed it I think. You can make a good job of covering it, but come up with something original that is as good, especially in the context of its time, where it also has to be fresh? That's a tougher ask.
@@nickcrisp7252 Yes I 100% agree .. it’s an iconic riff .. & he was drunk.. Smoke On The Water is another easy riff.. who could imagine R&R with out it.
Great reaction Rebeka. Always ready to hear some Deep Purple, especially the late, great Jon Lord on keyboards. Check out the band Gotthard's cover of Hush featuring Jon Lord.
When Ian Gillan joined the band Ritchie Blackmore told him I’m gonna blow you of the stage Gillan said I’ll do the same Ritchie replaid should be a good show
Hi Rebeka, Deep Purple live in their pomp, what's not to like! Great to see you enjoying their music so much. Women from Tokyo already been mentioned and try Strange kind of woman as well. Keep on rockin' beautiful girl!
Do you see a difference between hard rock and heavy metal? I tend to consider DP as the former, and would give the pioneers of metal credit to Black Sabbath...? Maybe the lines are blurred...sometimes everything else is with me, lol.
@@nickcrisp7252 neither Deep Purple or Black Sabbath were really heavy metal, but they were undoubtedly highly influental. Judas Priest, getting rid of everything blues, was probably the first true metal band.
Absolutely amazing live version of BLACK NIGHT, a super hard powerful song. Of course they were hard workers and offer the best to their public, and always do. I recommend you to watch to SPACE TRUCKIN' live from the California Jam, to be in the real Purple thing There were explosions, broken guitars, great performances, great voices and superb drumming parts, also great keyboards and bass playing. It''s a little bit long, about 25 minutes, but it's completely worth. Thank you Rebeka for keep liking the most amazing hard rock band of the world, and sharing your reactions about them. In case you want to prove it, here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IYWumDW2Pgk.html

Its so great to come back and watch your beautiful little face amazed, and adoring and impressed and watch you love something I love, I love you Rebeka
Blackmore, Lord, and Paice being masters of their instruments with Glover being rock solid and Gillan banshee screams. What more can you ask for? Also give Strange Kind of Woman Live in Japan a listen.
Gracias por el video que es maravilloso y también por tu exelente y buen gusto. Espero sigas con éste tipo de videos para seguir apoyando tus videos . Eres guapísima. Saludos cordiales desde Birmingham Al USA. I love you to.
Geeze Luize , another winner ! These guys were really outstanding live, I know saw em , just a low riding Cali surf dude . Love that you love this stuff smart girl. Peace ✌ I'm out .
There is a good live video with great sound of the Allman Brothers at the Flimore in 1971. Maybe try their song “Whipping Post” it’s amazing. Maybe a little long but totally worth it. Best wishes Rebeka.
The studio album version D P IN Rock is better because it is more tightly structured than the live version .It seems like that with any song live vs. studio and this wins with the album version but if I was in the audience of the performance I could assume live is better .
