I was there that night and the band were absolutely smokin. Like it or not they are doing a fantastic job keeping alive classic rock songs which are rarely/no longer played. The total quality of musicianship and vocals is world class at times. The best covers band on the UK circuit by a long long way. Get and see them as many of their songs are delivered better than the original artist. I’ve seen many many rock bands including Purple, Priest, Sabbath, AC/DC, Van Halen (10 times) Skynyrd, Rush etc etc. TCRS are right up with any of these guys for live performance

Deep purple produced the best two live songs on earth. Highway Star and Burn are up there with the best crowd pleasers. If you never experienced listening to those songs live then you never experienced rock at its greatest. All respect to AC/ DC and Black Sabbath. Led Zeppelin were blues rock so they are a different category. These songs were written in 72 and 73 which were about 50 years ago and they still rock.

Our band Flurry played Classic Rock around Mobile and the South-East for around 30 years, and we played a couple DP songs, mainly Highway Star, but we didn’t try this one…just spectacular, gents! The best cover I’ve ever heard! 👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

DP was my first concert at 13 yrs old....Machine Head tour....1971 Evansville Indiana. I was front row (general admission). My arms were on the stage but my feet were a foot off the ground. I was being somewhat crushed by everyone who wanted to be in the front row. Billy Preston opened. : ) The Purples were loud AF (db records being set). I was right under Lords KBs which he liked to push forward and back. I was high AF on gawd knows what and I thought that big thang might fall on me haha. Ritchie broke a string and instead of being brought a new guitar they brought him a string and he had that thing put on and tuned in like 30 seconds-i kid you not. After the show I crawled up on stage and grabbed the broken string off the stage as a souvenir---then sat on the edge of the stage and talked to my friends---and NOBODY bothered me. The roadies, and Security let me be. Those were the days, eh? My first concert was probably the best I ever saw? Hard to say but what a memorable experience!

Forty years ago this was the common standard in rock; inspired classic songs, virtuoso musicians and incredible vocal ranges. We were spoiled and took the cream for granted.
