Learn a lot from your videos Lex, an example I can give is your insight on why not to raise on the flop with your set of 8s. My usual instinct would be to raise there, but yes, you're not that scared of too many cards, and you can improve - typical that a six falls.
Kewl back round sounds also...appreciate your brutal knowledge. You are soooo fun to watch. I sincerely hope you win the Bigg WSOP Tournament...cheers from New Zealand 🏌️♂️🤙👍
That last PLO hand was horrid, the fact they flopped you all but dead straight away, savage. Amazing run still, keep it up and bink a big one soon for sure
the 22 shove was a punt. you need to find a spot where you want action after you push, its so late in a big tournament you should be trying to get it in good at all costs. not to pray for folds. good runs though.
In that spot with set on 4568, I thought for quite a long time and honestly I can't come up with a single bluff that EzPaTuLa can have. He would have to turn 5 into a bluff for two streets and apart from limited amount of 5s he can have (mostly A5s) would a player tagged as a recreational ever do that? That said isn't fold on the turn the correct play? Do you think that he would call with straight other than 79 on paired board since it is only a bluffcatcher and best case scenario he is only chopping?
If he put V on 77 and if 77 would call it off, then it's a slamdunk shove. But neither of those things are true - you can't put someone on an exact hand on the flop and play accordingly. It's just bad poker. You shouldn't have a shoving range on those stacksizes against the two Vs ranges. You don't have anywhere near enough bluffs to have a balanced shoving range and then it's very exploitable. Overflatting is standard.
would it not have been better to get those 8's in on the flop 4 ways? eh idk i guess only getting called if your beat i suppose damn run bad day 2 sorry lex ;/
I think the idea was that the only cards that make his hand worse are a 6 and 7 so its 8 outs and no other cards are scare cards so he was trying to extract max value assuming the next card is a 10-A and the river is a brick. Kind of have to assume with the action on the flop someone here has an overpaid so I think it was a good play. If this was a Bounty Builder he definitely would have check raised all in on the flop I think.
Pros always shove 22's. The instant you get called your fucked. It's the worst hand to shove everytime you are better shoving 97 than 22s. Stop shoving 22s because its a pair it's definitely a mistake every fucking time
Mate I'm not scrolling down far enough for spoilers... Because I fucking love your content... And there is no doubt that you are an excellent player... But I think you're definitely starting to get exploitable... You've changed your game over the past 6 months, no doubt about it, and 100% for the better... But you believe others stories too much. Yes they are 2ks (But what would you say? You have to stick to, and play your own game) There has been a couple, some you may have been ahead, others behind, I've just watched 1:15:12 and you can't snap fold that... I'm not saying you should call in the end, but please stop snapping these decisions... I realise you have literally millions of hands and are making decisions based off those; but you have to remember that every story that is told isnt truth. I love you as a player man, I've learnt so much from you, and this is partially a vent just because I see you snap these decisions when it isnt neccessary... Talk it through with yourself, don't base your current situation off every hand that has come before hand, take it into account for sure, but it isnt neccesary to do it off instinct, it is exploitable. Again, no hate. You are a beast, and that is why I started to follow you.
They are donating to sponsor the entertainment. For a lot of people, Twitch is like TV or Netflix, but it is for the most part free, so they opt to donate in order to keep Lex streaming these big tourneys so they can learn/enjoy. It's a fairly big disadvantage for Lex to be streaming how he plays and give away his thought-process to his viewers, and his viewers understand that and show their appreciation by occasionally donating small amounts to get a plug on the channel and keep the thing going.
