We decided the best way to learn about the Dolphin Fish was to go tag along with the best in the business! So we called Fish The Deep Charters and jumped on their half day AM charter and boy oh boy was it fun!!
We were up at 3.30am, at the ramp by 5am and on the boat to fish for lives until the sun came up! It’s always a beautiful morning off the Gold Coast Seaway with all the other fishing early birds.
Our charter was the second one in a row to reach bag limit for the Mahi Mahi and we were lucky enough to see an incredible hammer head shark cruising at one of the FADs.
We left with our limit worth of Mahi, smiles on our faces, stories to tell, a desire to rebook for a private full day charter, and a great video now made to remember.
If you’re wanting to learn more about offshore fishing, want to go offshore, then this charter is definitely more than worth the penny spent. They’re inclusive and kid friendly (as you can see we had a little champion on our boat).
