This help me huhu thankyouuu insecure din kasi ako sa physical appearance ko e lagi akong si compare sa iba pero accepting your flaws and kind of beauty you have either its face or the body but it can be your capabilities, your talent everything that you can do is your kind of beauty, being pretty or gorgeous is just bonus. Accepting your flaws makes you more confident fr💗.

The noticeable proof that Korean beauty standards make you question your self-esteem or self-worth as a woman is how Kristel's appearance has improved. If I had money, I would probably do the same thing. Kristel's skin, nose, eyebrows, and facial structure have improved so much. But I am glad that IT IS STILL HER. You can still see "the KRISTEL" we've known since she joined show business in the early 2000s when she was just a child. Minimal improvement is fine. But I get uncomfortable when someone totally changes his/her face which makes him/her unrecognizable.

Nakaka relate din ako dito, nag apply ako ng work, first job ko sana yun after ko mag college, na discriminate din ako dahil sa looks ko, ni Hindi nga tiningnan Nung hr Yung cv ko at talagang head to toe Niya ako pinagmasdan, akala mo naman kung ano inapplyan ko dun eh sa back office lang naman ako, pero umasta na parang Yung inapplyan ko pang Modelo. Hello kristel iam 53 year n ang laki talaga ng ngawa sakin ng korean beauty.. Ksi dahil himdi talag aq ng sunscreen tulad ng ni moi hindi aqaahilig mag makeup simple lng since dlaga aq at ngka asaw.. Ngyun ng nttu aq mg sunscreen unti kilay.. Yan ang naginh epekto sakin ng korean pati sa pgddamit.. Salamat sa inyo.. Ang ganda ng conversation niyo. It made me at ease na I'm not alone sa iniisip ko regarding sa insecurities. Na boost ninyo nag confidence ko lalo and mas na encourage ako to choose myself as way of loving myself more.

Ang masasabi ko lng sa podcast na ito,.. Insecurities is one of weaknesses and beauty standard of other countries may set your mind to their standards,.but for me personalities and sense of humor is top of the above.. I mean ehh! There is nothing special on a korean Skin, it is a natural soft silky smooth skin, it is due to their climate, healthy food, technology, surgery, natural beauty, but not all korean ladies are attractive, they have high class standard make up and so on, like the Japaneses and Chinese it is also the Geography and their climate, We should be all proud of what God created not to idolize someone or culture, race, it is a false pride if you want to be what you are not! Everyone or any race has beauty, but not everyone see it!

It's disturbing to hear those stories because of social pressure , they have to undergo surgery but if your wise enough you'll follow and respect God standard. For me , God's will is my standard....even if I rejected by the World , if I please God that's all that matter . Heavenly peace

Maganda ang skin nila pero mas magaganda Pinoy.I don't like people who are Korean wanna bes.

I have korean classmates in my university and she told us that her parent's gift when she graduated from HS was plastic surgery.i was shocked because thats so unusual maybe for us filipinos but for them plastic surgery is as common as buying jewellery or bags..i asked why surgery?she said,"because i dont wanna be bullied".then i found out about korean beauty standards.why would you set a standard that doesnt fit your natural looks?i mean,they love copying western looks.we are asians,so its natural to have slanted or small eyes,singkit,or not so pointed or high nose...its creepy for me at least to know that you can shave your jaws to make ot look more prominent or to have heart shaped face..so now based on what koreans said,the beauty standard in their country means business because beauty is a competition not only in entertainment industry but in almost every jobs you can find,looks or appearance comes first for finding jobs/career...

It’s not good anymore when the standard is you should get surgery just to survive. Superficial an masyado. Appreciate and take care of your natural beauty. Be confident in your abilities and what you can contribute. To me medyo extreme at OA na yung beauty standards ng Korea pero as far as world beauty they don’t stand out.

Yes!!! Personality is everything. I’m a mother, living in New Jersey. I have a lot of Korean, Japanese, American, Turkish, Jewish friends. Korean standards are not very different from Jewish, Japanese and other countries that have Female insecurities. Dito sa America, gusto nila yung golden brown skin. They like strong body not skinny anorexic look.

Sa Pinas kasi mas gustuhin ung natural beauty.

hindi sa pagiging maingat. nasa Genes tlga. sobrang dami kong naging friends na Koreans dito sa pinas ang tamad magsiligo.

So true and actually sad. Back in HS we had a lot of koreans in our school taking up special classes and regular ones even tagalog language. One time we were talking about kdramas. This was way back when we can only see it through local tv as dubbed or VCD/DVDs. Usually the shows released here already aired in Korea a year back or 2 so we were excited to know what’s the ending of the currently airing shows here. Suddenly one (korean guy) made a remark and said “ganyan mata gusto sa korea” he was pertaining to my eyes. I asked him why? Kasi they like big eyes daw, double eyelids. At that time I was naive and didn’t know how serious that was until nalaman ko na nag papa surgery pala talaga sila “only” for that. This was early 2000s. Matagal na nilang practice yan at a very early age. 💔 That’s why mataas suicide rate doon since one of the major factors is their very own standards.

Eto yung pansin ko na kwentuhan nanatural walang halong pa cute or paganda ng pose sa camera. Moy bagay sayo ang hairstyle mo. Kay kristel bagay sa kanya ganyang simpleng ayos kesa yung ayos na may halong pacute. I love both of them ....❤
