Deep tribal house from the 1990s - Smokescreen soundsystem - Laurence and Jon 94/95

I do not own the copyright to any of these songs. I am uploading this mix tape as I believe it is of historical interest to anyone who was a part of the free party scene in the early to mid 1990s in the UK.
Smokescreen was a Sheffield-based soundsystem who played in and around south Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. I wanted to upload this as I feel that especially Nottingham and Sheffield were somewhat underrepresented in terms of their contributions to rave and tribal dance in this era.
This tape is from a New Year's Eve party, 1994 into 1995. While I do not know all of the songs, it does feature the following:

Had many many top notch nights at all the parties I attended put on by the D.I.Y SOUNDSYSTEM AND THE REST OF THE CREW 😉👍.. Makes me always smile if I ever see a flyer advertising an upcoming rave they've got on the way 😎☮️❤️😊... From an older("And slightly burned out" ~lol🤣~free party person) and extremely happy to be that way too... Peace and love and acieeeeed house ☮️ 💙 ☺️.. For one and all... Keep moving to the sounds of the bassline 😉😉👌

Must have played same or similar sets in Nottingham as very very familiar. Perhaps Garvey or Bounce. Went to Repton eviction parties but this was from a club/indoor place.

From a Smokies party In a squatted ex primary school in Sheff. This tape was well popular at the time so you may well have heard it round peoples' houses.

Literally played this tape to death back int day... classic Jon & Loz. Got a download of it from somewhere but this has much better sound quality. Missed the party but knew ppl who went... was reputedly off the wall!

Wow.....I collect house music and some of these smokescreen mixes introduce me too so many timeless deep intelligent beats. They was way ahead of the so big called djs. This is proper dance music.

I think mine came from a coffee shop right in the centre but I can't remember the name of it any more. I think you went up some stairs from a little alley way.

Takes me back to radford boulevard, the garvey and many free smokescreen parties. Lived and loved the 90s. Desert storm introduced me to underground music and parties, smokescreen took me to a different underground scene, and there I stopped. Still gives me goose pimples now. Love xxx
