Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a medical condition that occurs when a blood clot forms in a deep vein. These clots usually develop in the lower leg, thigh, or pelvis, but they can also occur in the arm. Anything that prevents the blood from flowing or properly clotting can cause a blood clot. The main causes of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) are damage to a vein from surgery or inflammation and damage due to infection or injury.

Dr I suffered from sciatica for quiet sometime due to lumbar 1 damage 15 yeara ago ,which recurred after a ten day trip , sitting long hours in the bus but got healed after exercises for 4 months .Now ,some years it occured again being dormant, neglecting my excercise and increased weight .( Im 82 years old ,5 .2" in height and weigh 165 lbs .After that sciatica pains ,I now suffer from numbness of the left leg and sole ,Can this lead ti D V T ? Thank you Doc sa mga paliwanag nyo. Ako'y dumaan dyan sa DVT DEEP Vein Thrombosis. Mananahi ako kaya laging naka upo. 5 years na gamotan matagal, kasi walang pampa upera kaya kinuha nlang sa gamot, warfarin at laging check ng dugo. Sa ngayon ay ok naman na ako sa awa ng Panginoong Dios. Salamat Doc. Makuwela rin kayo kaya napapangiti rin nyo mga nanunuod, at isa na ako doon ❤
