water is significant for every type of agriculture development that why my farm drilling for water. we hit the jackpot of water and enough for farming supply.
Have watched well & bore drilling here in NZ & all the drilling mud was saved and collected in a bath which overflowed into another & it was here where the drilling mud was pumped from! I’ve always found well & bore drilling very interesting but it’s hard work for the chaps loading & removing the drilling waste coming up from below! Not a job for the faint hearted! You really had your work cut out! It’s interesting watching someone else from another country drilling for water! I was surprised that each length of pvc pipe wasn’t glued at each joint! Here in NZ most of the time the casing pipes are steel with screwed ends & sockets!
Got one dug for me in Ghana. They didn't even leave a casing pipe. But boreholes are relatively cheap here so can't complain. It's just not done by experts as done in other countries
What you mentioned about NZ drilling and their rules is typical for a socialist country. Everything is overegulated and the cost of living is higher because of it. Check out the water drilling in the US and see how simple it can be, and much less expensive in States like Texas.
Often the compressed air down the bore flushes our stones sand & tiny pebbles along with clearing the underground strata making the water flow eventually!
Brazil? Seems to be no attempt to preserve samples of drill cuttings so that knowledge of the aquifer can be obtained for further work? Protective gear for the crew a bit minimal. Controls for the rig mounted under the tray - the operator has to kneel to keep an eye on them. Didn’t seem to do a blow test. Looked like about 1/2liter per second to me.
Love the Drllers hard hat, and the steel capped flip flops. If he doesn't fit a safety chain, to that delivery bullhose, one day its going to chase after him.
Skill is what keeps you safe at work, not Osha required footwear. The XY chart of workers safety is a straight line upwards and the slope did not change when OHSA came into being. Being sued is what made companies become safer.
