Rehana worrying about Hindu religious practices is like me worrying about what Nuns in Vatican have for dinner!

I am a Christian and i strongly feel that the Supreme Court decision doesn't make any sense as the temple has its own traditions and why a judgement is not according to the traditions of Hindu Believers???, i understand how i would react if i was in the shoes of a common Hindu. I am with my Hindu brothers and sisters, we may have our differences but we are brothers

Temples, Mosques and all praying places are not public but private places which has their own custom to follow. I had always seen Father in Church, Mosque padari. If one wants to worship lord Sabarimala then he/she has to follow the custom of Sabarimala temple and also show respect for that custom.

The fact that the anchor asked only Deepa, malavika and Kumar whether they believe in the rule of law - she did not ask rehana the same question because she knows very well that the butthead knows nothing about that!

This is for especially North Indian Ladies , Thinking its discrimination to not to allow ladies to Sabarimala and in some Activism mode . Let me tell you , their is a tradition in south India , where men will follow Brahmacharya if they going to Visit to Swamy Ayyappa (Sabarimala) for 11 days, 18 days or 21 Days or even months some times , in the Month of Nov, Dec and Jan (Coldest Months in South). During this Brahmacharya , married man dont sleep with his wife, they dont eat the Dish cooked in home ( In some cases they cook themselves), They wake up at Morning 5 and bath in cold water .after that group of this brahmacharis do Bhajan . They dont wear slippers for complete Brahmacharya days and they wear Black uniform and Mala in their neck of Rudrakshi .there is different levels of brahmacharya also(who completes 18 years of visit to Sabarimala called as Guru Swamy) . Evening they again they do Bhajan , eat prasad and sleep at Temple premises . They will stop eating of Non Veg , Drinking , Cigarette Paan etc for those days . Visiting Sabarimala , there is a tradition , you have to take a Coconut filled with Ghee , Rice etc from Home (Called as Mudi ) on their head and submit in Sabarimala . and you have to trek 15km of mountain to reach temple (No vehicle will go near temple ). This is all done because , Ayyappa in Sabarimala following Brahmacharya and people visting him also follow Brahmacharya . Please read the story or Movie of Ayyappa to understand better . so No women allowed there b/w 10 to 50 as brahmachris dont interact with women . its not a discrimination its the belief system and tradition of Swamy Ayyappa Followers . There are many temples across south India of Swamy Ayyappa , where women allowed . There is OmShakti Amman(Devi ) temple in Tamil Nadu , this is like equivalent to Swamy Ayyappa for Women version , where women do the same like men do for Ayyappa , where men generally dont go to that temple (or Men not allowed if I am right ).So this is is the belief system of that particular devotees of that deity . So stop this activism mode and stop calling Hinduism as Discriminative . If you question that belief systems every religion has its belief system , you have to rewrite it all . As Sadhguru rightly pointed out , This is not a tradition which discriminate against women ,we pray to more godess than to god . every Village in South India has Grama Devathe(women god ) . Women in south understand this and respect this tradition . Only those who think to rebel or Activists and some left liberal pseudo secular groups with agenda against Hinduism, they find problems in every Hindu tradition (Like Jalli Kattu , Krishna Janmastami, Raksha bandan ) . Dont be victim of this agenda

There are many temples in both south and north India. Our temples don't restrict anyone.In respect to wishes of local belief and customs, let lord Ayappan be the way it is. Hence all respect to sabrimala ,I would refrain from entering the temple due to the basic sentiment and principle of what ayappa God relates to.

Secularism is to respect each others religion and maintain equality among them...that doesnt means people come and disrespect others belief system. Let their beliefs be as they are.

Padmaja, i don't blame you as i had your same opinion during kaveri verdict and jallikkettu. I was of the opinion that people should not take law into the hand and try to overthrow the judgement. Itbleads to anarchy. But when spoke to thw affwcted parties , its not that simple. You just laughed at kumar's reference on judges being north indian. Justoce kurian joesph also made similar comment. At the end of the day, india is a union of states. Many kf these states were independent nations with rich and unique history. If you are not sypathetic to the culture of people in different parts, you will learn in differnt way. It is not about modern liberal senses or law of land but the resistence of people to uphold what is so dear to them. You want to use force and teach all these devotees a lesson? You want ourcourts to make judgement on what choice a god have? It ia a dangetous territory to enter. You may find it ok to destroy the tantric system, but its naive to be surprised at the resistence. The important question is, when religious sentiments or beliefs of anybody violates the law, shouldn't the law be given priority and be implemented??
