This fan hub splitter is a great idea for anyone trying to control multiple fans (up to 10) and can relieve the extra voltage requirements from the motherboard.
Just beware to have any control of the fans, they MUST BE 4 PIN PWM connections. 3 PIN devices will just run at full speed which may not be the ideal solution!
Features
If non-PWM fans are connected to this fan hub, this fan hub CANNOT give them extra PWM function. They will run at full speed. If PWM fans are connected to this fan hub, speed of all PWM fans can be adjusted at the same time. That is, all PWM fans will run at the same DUTY RATIO, not the same speed. Only speed of Fan 1 can be identified by the system.
Capable of connecting to 10 PC fans simultaneously for cooling the computer system.
Powered by a stable SATA connection to the system PSU for up to 10 fans.
Modular design that allows aesthetic cable organization.

Thanks for the review, got 10 case fans, all PWM and needing power supply (9 are RGB that have separate controller for lighting) and this review showed it's what I need.

@@mikesunboxing Yeah, running 9 Corsair QL120s and one BeQuiet! Shadow Wings (rear exhaust) in an air-cooled build in Lian Li O11Xl Dynamic, love the case, and airflow and temps are similar to the Meshify-C I originally had. XL has clearance for my Pccooler DI-G66A, the regular O11 did not.

I just installed it and did some cable management on my case. Swapped my 2 front case fans and top fan from running off a molex to the fan hub. CPU temps went up from ~37c to 41c at idle.

@@hyexenforomacedonians9251 ryzen 7, 3700x. I just think it's odd, that after after improving airflow from cable management, and swapping 3 of the case fans over from a molex to the fan controller managed by 1 of the headers on the motherboard, the temp would tick up a few degrees.

Using this one for more than a year for six P12s with no issues, but now I want to control bottom top and rear fans separately, so I purchased a couple of FH-04 hubs. My motherboard has six fan control headers, but I just want all the cables to be organised and just three cables going to my mobo.

I am about to build my first gaming pc (high end). The system will have 9 fans (that's a lot of fans), so I need to buy a fan hub. I would prefer to be able to change the speed (rpm) of each fan individually. Can you change the speed of each fan individually with this hub, or all the fans have the same speed? Other hubs (corsair commander, razer fan controller) have a software that you can set speeds for every fan individually. I think that with this hub you set a speed via motherboard software (to the header that the hub is connected to) and all fans connected to the hub have the same speed. Is this true? Please answer, it is important!

Hi Mike I often hear people say about putting fan hub/controller no 2.5 inch drive space/slot. Do they mean actually screwing it to the case or using tape. And if screwed, can you share some examples of products

i would just use some double sided tape and stick the hub to a drive caddy for easy removal if needed, velcro is also a good option

So I have an asrock b550am gaming motherboard, it does not have any system fan headers for case fans, I want this for 6 fans, can I plug the cord that’s supposed to be pluged on the motherboard to “cpu_fan2/wp” to power the fans since I don’t have a normal system fan header on the motherboard?

I've just bought a FH-04. DC advertise it is compatible with 3-pin/4-pin fans. My MB (Gigabyte - Smart Fan 5 System) fan headers are hybrid, so whether it is PWM or Voltage mode, it recognizes and manage them. So I assume it will work for my 4 fans (3 pin/voltage ones) and I also assume they'll all work at the same voltage, regulated by the SF5 software or BIOS curve.

if the fans are low rpm you can use the 3 pin and it will run full speed but at low rpm is won't be too noisy

Hi, from Mexico, I have see for some time, and now i have a question about this hubs, I have read and seen that if you USA SATA pwer supply is not safe, and it's better use molex, cuz SATA only allows 4.5 amps and molex 11 amps. I have done the math on the amps that my fans used and they are 1.69 amps in total. Is it safe to use SATA or is it better to look for a MOLEX type?

Hi there! I have a question that I can't find an answer for anywhere... I have a mobo (Asus P8B75-M LX) with only one 3-pin fan header and I'm looking to change the case and have 6 fans installed. My question is, will it work if I connect the HUB to the motherboard 3-pin header or does it really only work with a 4-pin header? I know that 3-pin fans won't PWM, but thats ok, I don't mind having them at full speed. I currently have 2 fans in this 3-pin header and 2 other in a molex connector. Thank you for the video, it was the best I've seen on this piece :)

So my situation, I have bought 6 uphere rgb fans but don't have the hub OR the remote. The fans come with a molex 4pin (big) and a 3pin. Since It didn't include the hub, my option was to plug it straight into the psu which works but I can't control the colors. I only want to change colors freely but cannot do so as I don't have the remote. My questions, does this work universally like with uphere fans? I don't care about noise but can I plug these into the rgb header for color control on softwares like msi mystic?

The ones with molex connection are static rpm and colours that is it. If you want to change speeds or colours you need a different set

If you attached the chassis fan header to the controller that should work but it needs to be a 4 pin pwm header not a 3 pin dc one

Hello man nice review. I just have a question. My motherboard is Gigabyte b450m-ds3h with only 1 sustem fan header and 1 rgb/ledheader. I plan on getting Deepcool gammaxx L240 AIO plus 3in1 Rf120 fans and sync them all together. I believe it comes with 4 port fan hubs for each package. Can I use i fan hub to system fan commecting 3 rf120 fans and another fan hub to Cpu fan to connect 2 radiator fans and pump for the aio cooler? Thank you!!

to start i dont think that board has nay RGB headers so you might want to rethink if RGB is important to you

There aren’t many options for 3 pin fans. I used a cheap fan header splitter to connect four fans to a single header and that worked well for me

Currently installed in my system but motherboard not detecting the fan speed. Think I'll disconnect it and try a different hub or use fan splitters. All fans are pwm

make sure the motherboard has the header set to PWM that might be the issue, and make sure one of the fans is in port number one, this is the sensing port

As long as you are using 4 pin PWM this is the perfect device. Sadly not so much for 3 pin in my setup 😁

Sad to say that my fans are 3 pins, but for the moment is the best solution that i have, the fans wil spin at full trouttle :), i will not be bad for 2 month when i will buy a Corsay 3 pack fans, i got other priorities

Three pin fans can be controlled by voltage regulation but can't be controlled by PWM so not compatible with this controller if you want them to run at variable speeds. Some motherboards when you go into the BIOS you can change the fan ports from PWM to voltage and then it will control the speed for you instead of always running flat out. Depends how many fan ports are on your board though if you have enough for all of your fans or not.

I've got something to ask. i have a mobo that doesn't have an argb or rgb header. and i bought an argb fans with hub powered by a sata.. My concern is can i connect my argb hub to the PWM 8port hub? in that way my fan speed will be controlled by the motherboard? Thank you in advance

I have 10 four pin PWM fans if connect every fan into this controller and plug sata power to controller and other end of the controller fan cable to CHA fan 1 will I fry the motherboard with over power each fans rated 0.25 Amp motherboard header rated at 1Amp.

I just used this exact hub in my build, and neither the small LED lights up, nor do the fans spin... It must be either the SATA not delivering any power, or my mobo fan header not sending any signal. Does yours light up when the fan cable is not connected to it?

looks cool, still my problem is not the cpu, it's the gpu. If i run a game that uses 100% gpu and 50% cpu i would still have no way to accurate control the case fans. Thanks for the video anyway.

If you connect the 4 pin cable of the HUB to the SYS Fan 1 or 2 or 3 on your motherboard you can control the speed of the fans via Asus Aisuite or even your motherboard factory fan control software... For instance...If you want to plug 3 front fans via 3 PIN to the hub and then you plug the Hub to the Mobo SYS FAN 1 or 2 or 3 you can control the speed of your front fans...I have Asus motherboard and i can control it via AISuite software...Cheers.

Yes but not this one. You are probably best off with a set that has fans and strips including a controller like the Sahara ones

Annoying all these inconsistencies, especially when all the stock fans are 3 pin. Like wise when mobo only has JRGB not JRAINBOW. Always struggle with fan setup and cable routing, was looking for some kind of 3-pin to 4-pin hub or adapter/splitter to get PWM control on the 3-pin fans. Have got 2x Silent wings 140mm PWM fans coming, may just get one or two more 120mm and do away with everything else. Just more cost and would rather the case not come with any and cheaper if you can't control them properly

Still happy with my choice of mid level (but good) mother board b450m mortar max , but would have to spend double for a gaming one with the extra features (ARGB headers, included m.2 heatsink, wifi etc). Still works out cheaper adding that stuff but perhaps worth spending more sometimes, just an overkill. Anyway got the EZDIY-FAB RGB Converter, 12V RGB to 5V ARGB Transfer Hub with 3-Way Splitter, hopefully does the same job as the Deepcool deepcool RGB converter which is a bit hard to find, the deepcool fans are pwm too

@@mikesunboxing so I got an EZDIY-FAB RGB Converter, 12V RGB to 5V ARGB Transfer Hub with 3-Way Splitter, but the bloody Deepcool RF120 3in1 fans are the 4 pin RGB. Assumed they were the CF120 with the 3 pin. Just using the 2 fractal argb fans that came with case, was working with the adaptor and mystic light but no pwm. Can't win with this crap maybe try set all to white, they don't exactly match the wraith prism anyway

Yes it gets power directly from the PSU and takes the rpm signal from the fan header and copies that speed info to the connected fans

@@mikesunboxing What if you can change the PWM/DC speed for fan headers ( 3 and 4 pins) in UEFI/BIOS ? Will it change the speed of all fans 3/4 pins connected to this hub ? You wrote that it copies the speed info from one fan connected to the fan header to the rest of fans connected to the hub, so If I change the speed (DC) of this one will it transfer to the rest ? In UEFI of my old motherboard Asrock Z77 Extreme4 I have 3 options to change for 4-pin chassis fan header: 1. Full ON (full power all the time), 2. Automatic (based on CPU temperature I can choose the levels)
