Jinjer's logo is also the logo of Tati's and Roman's hometown of Gorlovka. The outer ring, a gear symbolizes the town's factories (cloud factory), and the drill bit in the middle symbolizes the coal mines.

For reference, jinjer is from coal-mining town gorlovka in donetsk region and the song is about the plight of coal miners......the whole cloud factory album is a banger.

This is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Not as many reactions to this one so its always nice to see them. Just saw Jinjer live for the third time on August 22nd. Amazing live band. If you can figure something out to get to the show tomorrow, do it. You won't be disappointed.

They've mostly been touring the US and Canada in the fall (for the last several touring years, though 2020 was planned to be a spring tour though covid nixed that) and if you follow their social media so you can buy when the tickets first go on sale they are an up and coming band playing smaller venues and the tickets generally aren't especially expensive.

The composition of the album that's expected to come out later this year started when the guys were under siege in Kyiv during the early months of the war before they were able to start touring as cultural ambassadors. They say it's going to be extremely heavy and melodic and I can't wait.

Jinjer members (except Vlad, but he wasn't the band member when this song was recorded) are all from the families related to coal mining. If I'm not wrong Tati's father (or maybe uncle) is a coal miner. In my opinion Jinjer is successful because of their roots (of course as addition to their musical and lyrical talents). They are miner's children so they tought from the very beginning to be hardworking, to be down to earth, to be patient, not to expect fast success, rather excpect lots of failures and to DIG, harder and faster. And to love their profession. You don't have to think that coal miners from Donbass (Donetsk region) hate their job. They could hate some or many of it's details. But they are proud of their profession. Traditionally coal miner was one of the most respected and well-paid professions in Soviet Union. It's not well-paid now but it's still respected.

Yup. They are from Donetsk where there are a lot of mines. Being Eastern Europe the safety regulations and procedures weren't exactly the greatest.

They are from Donbass, the motherland of coal mines in Ukraine. Every second guy was caveman in that region, before russian hybrid war started there in 2014. So this song was dedicated to them. Nowadays almoast all coal mines are abandoned or destroyed by russian war...

Cool old Jinjer. They are from the coal region of Ukraine, which is why Russia wants it. The band says that everyone there knew someone who worked in the mines. Their logo is a cutter used to bore in the mines.
