Deeper Look Into Importing My Honda Z! 

My first impression of the Honda Z: There is no way that car is 25 years old. Nice find.

First Nakeds were manufactured in 01/99, so those are ready to roll! Can't wait to get one over here!

Kei is the way. Z is for me. You bought it BEFORE the inspection! Be sure the ISF is filed with US Customs before the car leaves Japan.

Just an FYI, in Europe and Japan they call this car a Honda Zed . They pronounce "Z" as Zed in all the marketing media. I drove one at a dealer in SC. I really liked the car but it had the spongiest suspension of any kei I've driven. I think some stiffer springs would have transformed the handling.

The stock rims look nice would be worth polishing them and keeping them even as just winter wheels or a spare

Great final update on the Z, Nick. Very cool to see how the cars are gone over prior to shipment - hopefully every exporter does that. But...knowing that WBTF is the Nick version of Pimp My Ride (LOL), I would leave the Z untouched if it was mine (but alas, it is not). The factory alloy wheels could be cleaned up really nice and it just looks great in original condition - beautiful car! One Non-Z comment - that blue truck on it's way stateside, while really cool, has I do believe some major corrosion problems there around that rear window - lots of rust both inside and outside leads me to think there's some nasty stuff going on there...and all that water in the pickup bed wasn't doing it any favors...but it's not your truck!
