What about other type of the tasks in 2d animation? Character movement, character emotion play, items and props Nice physics simulation. But more powerful when simulation include in the game engine. And interactive

My problem with Creature, back two years ago when I started to make my sidescroller game, was the poor support for Unity. But yeah... not having physics is an everyday pain.

The difference is when you need precise animations, Creature is not the best option, because precise animations would take even longer, than in Spine. Also, for game development, mostly, you can't make so much triangles and the mesh creation could take much longer: with less trianlges but the same result. But in Creature it is easier to make non-precise animations and easier to implement physics within game engine. Anyway - they are two very powerfull and fun tools!

But in spine they spent 2h on somewhat simple animation. Wouldn't it stand to reason that in creature if they spent 2h they could make a better animaiton? I'm just wondering.

​@@AleksandrBurnass You say fake time, but in creature the guy didn't move a single spine, they made an automatic animation by changing some numbers in the right panel. The guy in spine actually physically moved around the spines to create key frames. And they did increase the speed of the spine footage. So how is this fake time? I guess I can see how they might've spend extra time trying to iron out every little detail of the animation to look exactly how they want it to look, BUT I don't see how that changes anything. I don't know either of the software, that's why I asked a question, which still stands.

Hello, actually in Creature you can be just as precise ( or more ) in terms of your animation. There is absolutely NO REQUIREMENT to use procedural motors; all rigs are ready for manual FK Motors at the start. This means you get full manual control ( you can be as precise as you want ). All the controls/widget manip handles to rotate, move etc. the bones are there. Also, for extra manual control, Creature has the following advantages: 1) IK in Creature can go > 2 bones ( compared to Spine currently ) 2) You have the Free FK motor which allows you to animate a bone independent of the character hierarchy ( useful for animating throwing objects in space 3) Full animated spline over the ENTIRE Timeline, allowing for much better and efficient ease-in/ease out animations.

@@MadBunnyRabbit The guy who made this video works for the company who makes creature lol... just look at actual artists using both programs, you will see a lot more pros using spine. Just search for Neeko LoL spine and you will see an amazing work.
