I happened to spot this pair out the window today & started tapping on the window hoping they'd run off. They didn't appear to be phased by my efforts and I was on the verge of stepping out there to have a word with them when I noticed the attention they were getting from a bird. I'm not sure what kind of bird, but I figure it was hanging out with the deer & feeding on the insects that had the deer shaking their heads. I decided I'd rather watch & video the show for a bit before I finally ran them off. I kind of dread going out tomorrow to see what they were eating in the glade...I know they seem to like the Ratibida pinnata (grey-headed coneflower)...at least there's plenty of it out there.
